It's not even out yet! Do you really have THAT much trust in Gameloft that it will be the best RTS without even seeing any gameplay, let alone playing the game? Anyway, Red Conquest (The best one IMO) is free, so anyone even remotely interested in strategy games should grab it now.
that falls into the rts genre called 'rarely true strategy' much like trenches, galcon, and the likes
how does that make starfront good?? and ya red conquest is awesome. Now that its free there is no reason to not get it.
I had a look at this, it looks good (from the bullshot trailer that is), supposed to be kinda promising and the guy said it heavily resembled starcraft. Trenches and the like of those games arent really RTS games, they scroll to the side, uncool. I dont like red conquest much, it didnt take long to beat it. I'm eagerly awaiting the starfront now. Did you hear that Battlefield bad company 2 is going to be released on the iPhone/iPod Touch? Cool right?
I'm a really cheap person Armada is fun and free. It's a rip off of Starcraft The main thing I don't like about it is there aren't enough players So try it out and I hope I'll see you there
It was good..8 months ago. Back then, you could find a 4 player game instantly always. Now, it's just dated and can't really compare to LASW, Red Conquest, or even the now ancient Warfare Inc. I would know what I'm talking about: I mean, check who's at the top of the boards still. But in any case, StarFront is going to be changing the rts scene on the idevice. I have high hopes for it.
Starfront will probably disappoint more people than not. Expect more complaints than praise, and much of those from people who have yet to play it. All cynicism aside, LOL, My recommendation to the OP is to wait a week or two for StarFront as I agree with backtothis's post above.
Haha, I like to be optimistic. One thing is for sure at least, the multiplayer will be great. No one on the iOS has even come close to what GL has done for online gaming on the iDevice.
Hmm hadn't thought about that but you're right. They've certainly got multiplayer down pat from the ones I've played so far.
