What is the best game you've played that didnot have much hype around it. Maybe a game you've stumbled across and turned out to be great. For me a game I've come across that I ABSOLUTKY love is meteor blitz. This game came out very early in the app stores life, and was the first game I've played that really showed that a touch screen can actually have tight controls. There were no cheap deaths. I hoped this post has turned someone onto this gem, because it's a must play. If anyone has any games like this they have played, then please post here.
Here's some earlier threads on the same topic, which may contain something you like (some go back as far as 2009) Good Unknown games that should be recognized! http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=92284 "The Best Games You've Never Played" http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=59130 Best Unknown, PERIOD! http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=87467 What r ur top 5 hidden gEms? http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=125221 What are the hidden gems in the App Store? http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=43784 The (un)official hidden gems-Thread http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=101022 Monthly Hidden Gems (December 2009) Cast Your Opinions http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=40257
Ive read some of those threads and none of them mentioned Omegapixel. Only a few people talked about it on it's own thread here too, so im assuming not a lot know about it. Here's a couple more i think only a few know about. Necrorun Spooky Hoofs Princess Punt (angry birds-inspired but I love it better than angry birds, which i hate)
Hmm maybe I should bump my top 4 hidden gems thread... Only cuz I was getting a good list of games and descriptions... I guess not unless someone has a big list of games and descriptions they want to add For right now all I can think of for now is Ninja Attack, Once touch and Indodia. (first 2 r recent the other is old but I've never heard anyone mention it)
Miss Claire Garden Miss Claire Garden Miss Claire Garden Seriously, one of the BEST iOS platformers and nobody knows about it! Can't say enough good things about it!
I've played inodia. There are so many apps it's hard for me to remember. I know I was addicted a few years ago to a match 3 type game in which the goal was to take over a steampunk version of Japan. I need to upload some screenshots, but I'm not sure that one of my favs, Catball Eats All, is too well known. Also, there's a collectable card game played on a field similar to Playdek's latest; it's called Paleolitic wars. I stumble across games by going though the newest releases in each category on my phone. They show up faster than any app tracker, and some disappear just as quickly. Oh yeah...did I mention Beat It!
I've just finished Mikey Shorts so will try this. Never heard of it in my life but will give it a go now.
Funny you asked. I checked the AppStore on my phone, and the link next to idonia said install instead of purchase. I haven't played it yet, but...yeah of course I've DL'ed it! I'll give it a shot in a minute. Oh yeah, princess punt was/is a great game. Problem is it saved data server side. I deleted it to make room and can probably never get back my progress. Some more games: Smasheroids-It's like asteroids, except you play as the asteroids, the goal being to take out that annoying triangular ship. Tiny Lights- a strange little atmospheric rpg of sorts Desert Quest - interesting, but crude graphics (all characters and enemies resemble cave paintings) might initially turn someone off to a pretty expansive exploration style adventure-rpg.
Not sure if you guys remember Dead Runner, but that is still one of my favorite games to date. Oh. There is this really cool and simple game I found that NO ONE has ever heard of... It's called: TINY WINGS! ;D
Oooohh... I know Dead Runner! I currently still have it on my iPhone. I don't think I'll ever delete that game.
