So, quick impressions: It's a pretty basic side-scrolling action game, almost like a platformer more than anything else. Pretty similar to the first Zombieville, actually. The graphics and sound are pretty good for an 8-bit style game. The "feel" of the movement and jumping is also good. The coolest thing so far is that there's 6 playable characters, who you unlock as you progress the game. They each have their own special attacks, and the special attacks are pretty neat. Like the first guy you start out with throws a flurry of knives, and the first character you unlock does like a super slam onto enemies with a flurry of confetti. The bad part about this game is it feels very much like a port. The game plays in a smaller window as you can see from the screenshots, and the visuals for the virtual buttons are pretty ugly, though they work just fine. I really wish there was an option to play it in full screen and just have the virtual buttons cover up some of the action. I imagine this is the kind of game that's designed for PC first and then put on mobile as an afterthought. Even the menu requires you to select options with the virtual d-pad and confirm with the virtual buttons, rather than being touch enabled. tl;dr: Cool graphics and theme, fun gameplay. Great variety of characters. Port seems sloppy though, and the game only plays in a small window which is annoying. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
