Yeah, he's not easy. Spoiler I think I used the healer and the fairy. The fairy takes on the guys he spawns as long as you're not too close to him, and since the fairy doesn't do damage, the minions won't die (and he doesn't take much damage either, so he won't die, especially with the healer there). That leaves you to use your bow to shoot Fnarf. You can't hit him with melee. This is one thing that's cool about the game - you can't always just go in there swinging. Many of the boss fights require you to figure out a working combination of companions and combat styles.
well I found him to be easy for some reason. I just used my bow (note: the longer you hold the shoot button, the stronger the force/damage it will incur). Plus like Artfloundry said, use your healer when you're about to die, run around and don't stand in one place, rinse and repeat.. That should do the trick. Enjoy the game
Ok I'll take that in mind. And sorry for so many questions, but are you talking about the healer that the guy in Houton gives you that you can summon with adderstones? And are you guys talking about the light fairy you get from the Bods? Thanks, and your help is very appreciated . A thing I like about this game is that it actually requires some strategy, unlike many RPGs on the app store. So far really enjoying it! EDIT: Wow never mind. Just used my bow and took him out in like 30 seconds, with the fairy to distract them. That was quite easy thank you both!
I am glad you're enjoying it, I am proud to say I payed $6 for this game let me know if you need any help finishing the game.
I need help in the burial chamber. I have the fire elemental and pretty much got everything but it won't open the guys icewall like it did for otehr walls. any idea's?
Love the game so far especially the comedy. But my heart sank win i saw the overworld map you have to walk around on. Not a game breaker though. Trying to find the jail in the forest. Is it in the faeryhaunt woods or somewhere else, because i've been all around the place and can't seem to find it
It's in Houton Woods. The fairyhaunt woods is west, so go to the east of town to enter the houton woods. You should see an arrow directing you, and if theres trow, then your in the right place. Question: Spoiler What does the Spirit Stone of Herne do? If I summon him, does he fight for me or something? Just want to know whether its worth using an adderstone on. And what tunes have you guys unlocked/found so far? I'm in the forest tower and I have the explorer, heroine, bodyguard, light fairy, rat, thunder spider, and the mercenary. (Never played the 2004 version so I don't know if I should have more at this point) Again, thanks in advance!
I have a huge problem with my game: I can't seem to equip a bow so can't progress with the quest that requires ranged killing. I do have a longbow. Also since getting the dog my heroine kind of hangs back and she won't shoot anything either.
To select the bow: *Click on the mandolin icon on the left hand side. *Under the big circle navigation, select the fist icon. *On the big circle, you will see the bow on the right hand side To get the archer to attack: When the enemy is in view, swipe up to issue a "Charge" command.
Hey, does the Synchronize feature transfer save files as well? If not, is there a way to transfer my save files from my iPhone to iPad through the cloud?
as long as you activate cloud sync in the save options menu, then the top save file is saved to the cloud. Works really well, but only the one file is transferred. check in settings>icloud>storage and backup>manage storage and there should be a savegame stored there.
I checked all of that, and I can see there is a saved file (and it's even the same size on both devices), but the Load Saved Game selection on the ipad version is still grayed out. Any other ideas? [edit]. NVM, I got it working - I kept checking the Online screen, not the Options screen, so iCloud was turned off on the iPad version.
