Exactly I've seen this 3 times already. The first time I missed the 2nd scene at the very end of the credits... It was worth waiting for during the 2nd and 3rd times though.
Yeah! I've been telling all my friends who have seen the movie already that there was TWO after the credits scenes, all of them didn't even stay for the second one...
I think too much. It just occurred to me to wonder Spoiler where they stashed Loki while eating shawarma since they clearly were going to deal with the former before the latter. And yet Spoiler Thor was in the post-credits scene, which must therefore be a flashback since he hadn’t vanished with Loki yet . I bet Loki Spoiler was tied to a bike rack outside the joint, unable to have any shawarma because of that magic muzzle thing.
That scene happens after Spoiler the battle is over. Notice the cleaning crew in the back, and the fact that each hero is battle-worn. Thor and Loki go back to Asgard after the shawarma scene.
Just got back from seeing it. The Avengers didn't disappoint. Found the first half to be way too slow though. Surprised at how powerful Hawkeye and Black Widow were. Enjoyed the comedy that Hulk and Downey Jr. brought. My favorite part was Hulk's encounter with Loki near the end, lmao. I didn't think the second scene after the movie was worth staying for. Anyways, looking forward to Marvel's 2013 films. For now, I'm expecting The Dark Knight Rises to surpass The Avengers xP. Great way to start off the summer though. Battleship actually looks pretty decent from the trailer. Might go and catch it next week if the reviews turn out decent. Not interested in seeing Dark Shadows.
I had already seen it on YouTube beforehand, lol. I couldn't believe that was all there was to it! Oh yeah! The Dictator is also coming out next week. That's possibly two movies for next weekend then. I've seen the trailer for it every single time I went to the theaters between last August and today -__-.
Yeah it's been promoted pretty heavily. The scene at the VERY end was added like a month ago, that's why it was the way it was.
Agree with you in everything except I think you will find Battleship very disappointing it's one film I was looking forward to for ages and basicly got completely bored by. I don't think the Avengers was Marvels best movie by any stretch, the hulk was amusing for sure but I thought the Iron Man, Spiderman and X-Men films were a lot more entertaining and really just a lot better.
Already saw it? Yeah, I'm definitely not sure about Battleship. I still find its "source material" hilarious. We'll see though I guess. I think The Avengers probably had the best effects out of all the Marvel movies. The 3D actually felt like it was worth it. For the other elements though, I think the original Iron Man and First Class definitely top it. Possibly the original Spider-Man as well. I went to see The Avengers for the action scenes, and they were definitely there..after the first hour. Not very excited about the new Spider-Man movie though..
Yeah it's been out about a month now in the UK I'm not even sure if anywhere here is still showing it. Trailer hyped loads of people up myself included I thought it would be really good at the time. Not to keen on a Spiderman remake myself I thought the last 3 were pretty good and way to soon for a rehash but I'm sure I'll end up watching it anyway.
The only good Spider-Man was the original. The only good X-Men movies were the original and First Class. Both Iron Man movies were really good though. I can't wait to see what they're going to do with The Amazing Spider-Man, it looks pretty good. Battleship looked ok, but I don't plan on seeing it.
The Avengers broke $100m during its second weekend in the US..wow. It's already broken $1b worldwide. Insane. Not sure TDK will beat it. I expect the fan base for The Avengers to be a lot bigger.
I believe so. The Dark Knight Rises has a lot riding on it. Everyone who saw the last one has been waiting for it. One of the reasons (that I am almost positive) The Avengers did so well, was because it had the Hulk and Captain America in it. Which in turn attracted little kids to the theaters, who had their mommy and daddy bring them, which would then have the parents watch the movie, and they would tell their friends about it. Batman is a very dark character. Kids like him, but they see Hulk and they go crazy. I think TDKR will do well, but I fear it won't fair as well as The Avengers, only because The Avengers had more kid appeal. My 0.2$
Good point. The Avengers did have a wider audience. TDKR should be pretty dark and intense, so I doubt parents would care to take their really young'uns.
