One more day until this drops... it's gotten a solid 95% on RT so far! Tickets are all sold out in my city until Sunday... should have pre-booked them. Grrrr.... oh well, MvC2 on the iOS is tending to my hunger quite well in the meantime
Still a week to go here. But yeah, what a way to kick off film season. Trips to the theater will number over 10 this summer for sure.
Why is it releasing a week late in the U.S. than it is internationally? Same thing happened a couple of weeks ago with Battleship...
In order by release date: The Avengers - 5/04 The Dictator - 5/11 (?)Battleship - 5/18 (?)Men in Black 3 - 5/25 Madagascar 3 - 6/08 Prometheus - 6/08 (?)Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - 6/22 Brave - 6/22 (?)G.I. Joe: Retaliation - 6/29 The Amazing Spider-Man - 7/03 Ice Age: Continental Drift - 7/13 The Dark Knight Rises - 7/20 (?)The Bourne Legacy - 8/03 (?)Total Recall - 8/03 (?)The Expendables 2 - 8/17 I might have left a few out, but these are the "biggest" releases I'm looking forward to until school starts again mid-August. The ones with a (?) mean I might not see them if they're rated terribly. The others I'll probably be seeing for sure either way.
In any case, unbelievable ratings so far. It's been a long, long time since the last superhero movie was able to break 90% on RT, let alone 95%.
Yep, can't say I've saved up any money from working summer jobs yet. All of it goes to buying games, going places, and eating out xP.
Wow, 2012 looks like a great line up for movies! Forgot about half of them coming out, it's come so quick. Haven't been to the movies in ages
Huh, was kinda expecting this one to turn out meh, I guess I'll go see it. Though I'm still far more excited about Prometheus and Batman.
Without spoiling anything... The second half of the movie completely redeemed the somewhat odd pacing of the first. Lots of fantastic moments where the audience burst into a full state of laughter and applause. The SFX are amazing (as expected) and Tony Stark is still his good old neurotic self. The Hulk completely and utterly stole the show. Enough said. Great movie - that's two movies which have highlighted this summer's releases perfectly so far (Battleship being the other).
Given how Marvel is screwing over Jack Kirby's family, I have no interest in seeing it. http://srbissette.com/?p=12761
Id disagree. The show was stolen by my favourite character going in but who i thought would be thrown aside quickly. Hawkeye was amazing and Id say has got some new fans after this movie. The balance of the film was done superbly because thats what I was most worried about with so many main characters in it.
