July 11th will mark the year anniversary of the App Store. Apple went ahead and whipped up a number of their favorite apps and games. Link: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewCustomPage?name=pageAppStoreTurns1&v0=WWW-NAUS-ITUWEEKLY-IPOD%2BITUNES What do you guys think will happen on the 11th? A huge sale? Another terrible giveaway of $12k+ worth of things to ONE measly person? App Store blowout similar to the New Years one? Release a game that isn't a TD? Review and approve a game in less than 2 weeks? Discuss.
im hoping they will get there crap together and start working harder on reviewing games and getting them out faster. as for giveaways etc, i don't think there will be anything special
some kind of sale or maybe just one of those lucky one person who gets something but hopefully a big sale where everything is a buck or free...I'm not a cheapscape but the app store consumed 400-500 dollars already
I'm thinking that if a game is featured on this list of "Apple's Favorites", the developer would likely give it a small sale to make the most out of the opportunity. Typically, when a game is on the "Featured" list, the dev will give it a sale, just depends on the developer. So, in one sentence, while there may actually be no such sale from this event on all the titles, it will likely lead to sales from the developers of the featured games.
lmao I do not see any sales coming in as Apple does not control the price of any app. It can take back another I am Rich app though
That would be nice if Apple compensated the devs for having huge sales on the 11th Possibility, but doubt it would ever happen
WHOOOO! HOORAY! App store turns one today and there's absolutely NOTHING from Apple. Now that's what I call customer appreciation
A free app from Apple that launches a screen that says "happy anniversary" followed by a link to donate money to help them finance for bigger coffee cup sizes.
