http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=2852461&posted=1#post2852461 Well well well. Look who's back.
I'm wondering whether they've actually changed or addressed anything in the original parts of the game which caused them to pull it off the AppStore to begin with...
guys im gonna try to invite a friend who just started on to these threads Hes got starter gear so........... yeah
Depending on how new your friend is, I could recommend a revised purchase guide which would get him to earn gold quite quickly without any help from teammates or going online (this one's more refined and precise than the old advice I gave about getting the FL334AR and constructing hybrid armours until you can use Thunder -- but it'll also require a fair bit of confidence and the ability to QuickDraw to maximise its usage against Mantis).
Still didn't have time to post my latest book purchases Ah well... One pack was the "War of the Spider Queen", 6 books, highly recommended. Especially if you like your fantasy to be a bit different, not the usual cookiecutter goodie-two-shoes stuff. Did any of you get Kingturn Plus, Spiral, X-COM?
I haven't gotten any new iOS games recently... Just haven't seen enough that I am interested in. I did pick up Mount and Blade: Warband while it was on sale on Steam. It's a very good game, if anyone wants to try it.
Never heard of those books, I'll have to check them out. And if you like fantasy, you should try "The Wheel of Time" it's a massive 14 book series, but very well written. It's not a recent purchase, but I recently started really playing Ravenmark:SOE( it sat unopened on iPod for several months). It's strategically deeper than I'm used to, but now that I'm getting the hang of it I can't wait for Mercs to come to the US.
You know the Drow from AD&D? They are the protagonists in Spiderqueen War. And they are not fluffy treehuggers like Drizzt, but real Drow: mean, evil, plotting, backstabbing, the full nine yards Reminded me a bit of Karl Edward Wagner's Kane stories, with Kane's a(nti)morality (if you never read those, go and get them. they are some of the best fantasy ever written). And I know WOT, some friends of mine were huge fans, but never liked it. Just not my thing, I guess. And you won't regret playing Ravenmark, it is great both story and gameplay wise. If you aren't used to this kind of strategy, play on easy. Some of the missions are quite tough even on easy. Looking forward to seeing you in Mercenaries once it goes live. My playername is Nullzone there.
I never played D&D, but thanks to the almighty Google, I know who the Drow are That sounds like a very interesting series. I'll look into Kane's books, he has a nice writing style(iTunes sample). Have you read Eragon? It's one of the best Fantasy books I've read, though the rest of the books(yes, it's in a series) get progressively worse( in my opinion). Yep I'm looking forward to Mercs, though if my skills in Ravenmark:SOE are anything to go by, I'm gonna get creamed
Its because of those "oh so perfect" hippie atheist elves spewing out speech after speech right? Any of ya'll going to get black dawn?
