It really does! On the surface it may resemble too much the first ASM game, but there does seem to be improvement on the webswinging and (probably) combat mechanics, and there seems to be more variety in gameplay as well (fighting armored enemies, thugs on top of vehichles, a specific villain's flying devices).

I also love, LOVE the alternate costumes included! That always felt like a missed opportunity in the first one, and I'm glad to see that more comic-based costumes have made it this time!

    Really excited for next thursday!

This is really disapointing, as I don't have 3G/Unlimited Wifi, and I was excited for this. REALLY EXCITED. I thought this was supposed to be a "mobile" game, as in "on the go" and "when you want it, wherever you want it". If I wanted to play something that was restricted to one area, I would invest in a console. It would be different if it was a multiplayer game that relied on other people on the internet, but I seriously don't understand why a single-player game needs to be connected to wifi 24/7 inorder to work.

I think its for people not to cheat on iap! but still how bad is piracy on ios to force honest people to go throught something this annoying?! last time i checked less than 10% of iphones were jailbroken. and half of jailbreakers aren't pirates so what's the big idea here?! i mean eventhought i have unlimited 3g (on my phone only) it doesn't work inside the metro and any other places with bad signal. Also (game+LTE)= 1 hour battery life! and my ipad is the wifi model!! i'm really scared now for MC5!

Add mine to the money Gameloft won't be getting...

It's ridiculous how the excitement I obviously had for this game has diminished so much after knowing that "small" tidbit.

I still have yet to see the advantages online-only games bring to gamers (instead of devs like Gameloft, who have been reporting rapidly increasing financial gains over the last two years). Plus, when you consider that Gameloft is making you pay for games that you can't choose when to play on your mobile device, that just makes this decision more mindboggling. In my specific case, I only have a steady online connection at home, but the bulk of my gaming is done outside of it, so when a company like Gameloft forces me to stay at home in order to play a game on my MOBILE device (i.e. a device that ought to let me play games wherever I wanted), that's just another argument in favor of me playing my home consoles.

    Really, really disappointed...

I know that bit of information isn't what a lot of people were hoping for. I'm going to talk to the Dev team and see why we decided to go this route for TASM2. It could be a combination of things that led them to requirement, but I'll try to get as much information as I can.

Wait, that's why they're forcing people to use wifi? Piracy? That's ridiculous. Not only is it NOT going to prevent piracy, it's also going to diminish their sales. Think about it: how many people will willingly pay six dollars for a SINGLE-PLAYER game they can only enjoy if they have the internet? Not as much as the amount of people who would have bought the game without having to worry about being connected to the internet nonstop. So in the end, it either makes no difference, or actually harms the sales in the process.

And plus, you can't really count something being pirated as a lossed sale, since you wouldn't have gotten that sale in the first place. Usually the people who are willing to pay for something will pay for it, because nobody wants to be caught red-handed pirating something they could've easily purchased. But that being said there's always somebody who's going to be dumb enough to pirate, which makes this whole wifi-only-to-stop-piracy thing a big joke.

Thanks Ryan. Is there any way to make an IAP for offline play? I'd gladly fork over a couple more bucks to be able to actually play the game on my iPad. I loooove the alternate costumes/characters shown in the most recent trailer for the game (Scarlet Spider/Kaine, Ultimate Spider-Man, Superior Spider-Man, Iron Spider, Venom symbiote, etc.), but the connection requirement is a huge turn-off.

I hope I'm actually going to be able to play this game. Captain america still isn't working for me on my jailbroken device, already got my refund. If this is going to be the case for future gameloft releases then I don't have a choice, another customer lost, and I have supported gameloft by buying their games for a long long time.

constant internet .....tons of iap ......repetitive gameplay, thats the gameloft everyone knows . Im not sure whether is the changing of president of the company that downgraded their appearance to the society or is their brain getting outdated . I've lost hope and excitement from them since Dungeon Hunter 4 , so watever they are planing to put ino their game in order to screw it up ,I dont care . Since this is releasing on the APRIL 17TH .... I will definitely spend my $10 on Wayward Soul , a game made by a creative and smart developer .
