What does everyone else think about this? By the way, it isn't an insult on Gameloft but I mean to express my disappointment.
Yeah it was a lame tactic for them to introduce timers to a simulation game,It did ruin the game for me and many others but they acted quickly and have since then eased on those timers still terrible yeah but the game is very playable it doesn't require an internet connection,But most importantly it's a quality game which eases the pain Tasm 2 is a terrible cash grab no matter how I look at it which is sad.
Yep not worth it,like I said earlier this is the kind of game which goes free/massive price reduction in less than a month. So I would suggest waiting for the time being.I said same to my bro but being a sheep he jumped on it without reading reviews and now regrets the purchase,I've played the game more than he has which pretty much sums it up.
It's funny because a friend of mine bought asphalt 8 and it went free like 3 times before it went completely free for the fourth and final time.
I think its more about customers. Casual gamers. There is a market and they are the biggest part of it. So what they want is usually what we get. They are the reason why f2p is so popular. They will be the reason if this games becomes successful. And therefore it'll be one their hands if other companies think to do this online requirement thing. I can barely stand to freemium anyways. I don't think I'll stick around if online only becomes a thing. I'm not a hardcore gamer. I'm just a man who wants to enjoy his games without being bothered by iaps or online requirements. Developers think of how to get more money from customer not how to make games more enjoyable. And this is not what I'd like to play. I had high hopes for mobile years ago. I thought it would go somewhere. But it's direction is not what I would like to see at all. And I remember gameloft back from java games. They were a great company. It's not their fault mobile industry headed this way it's what customers pay for. They have adapt if they want to survive. They may have some wrongs but no matter what happens next I wouldn't blame gameloft. It's a company it wants profits. They do what they have to do. Although while saying this I must also say that in last 3 years I don't think I played more than 2 gameloft games. Because gameplay mechanics are bad, stories are cheesy graphics look nice but not really nice. Its like they dont really try to make a good game they just want get a game out. Polis it at some levels and live it there hoping customers will buy it and say its good just because its in mobile and hardware have limitations. They dont even optimise their games.
That bit is screwed up though, the forced online. But the amount of content in the game is great and remember, IAP is optional so you don't really need to grind for anything in TASM2, everything is just there for you to play. Unless if you're dumb enough to buy new costumes. Otherwise yeah, I'd say they keep me happy because I don't see how/why I should hate them.
Same. Just wish the framerate weren't hovering at 25 FPS the entire time. The game's gorgeous, though.
Good heavens!!! The people who designed this game are just plain mean. I just hit a massive wall that offers no way to escape it anymore. I just got to the Kraven the Hunter boss fight and if you thought the framerate issue during the Green Goblin fight was atrocious, wait till you get to this fight. I entered this fight with 10250 spider coins and spent all of them buying health but still couldn't beat him. It doesn't help too that you are fighting two bosses at the same time. The problem is that at a point, Kraven attacks with two horizontal slashes and a vertical one during which you have to swipe right, left and vertical. The framerate during this fight is so low that your swipes never register and he deals massive damage during these strikes and takes very minute damage when you attack back. Now I have ran out of coins, no other side mission is showing up on the map except the boss fight so you can not earn any more coins and cannot repeat previous chapters as the game is streamlined. I tried to see if I can earn any coins doing arena and after two arena bouts, with each rewarding a meager 120 coins when you die, I was asked for keys to be able to play arena again which I do not have. Only option is to buy in-app purchase or wait till the next day to get one key. Now I am left with no where to go and nothing to do. Yes that's it, no progression without in-app purchase, in a so-called premium game. I sp*t on whoever or whatever designed this game and felt that taking away the joy in a game is the best way to make customers happy. I am done with Gameloft as far as mobile gaming is involved. What a terrible company. *** Word of advice. Do not even attempt this Kraven boss battle with the standard Spider-man suit as the fight consists of many sections, takes forever to progress from one section to the next and the suit deals very minute damages. Do yourself a favour and purchase the Scarlet-Spider suit to even have a little chance of progressing during this fight.
Sorry, I was sick over the weekend and was out of the office on Monday. I figured I was allowed 1 work day off to recover. Is that too optimistic? While it was Easter, I was trying to recover from some illness. No Reese's eggs for me this year. If you've got any framerate or other gameplay issues, please let me know (like you did) but then also send in as much information as possible to our support team. While they may not be able to offer a better solution then "Restart the device, blah blah" it will get these issues on file with us and then sent over to the Dev team. Since I've been at GL, getting information to people from more than one way is the best way to get their attention. Classic Spidey. "Gameloft Ryan" here and I promise I'm taking notes. Thanks for the friendly feedback. I definitely understand the frustration and that's why me and other CM's take notice of community feedback. Even though we do QA and internal testing, some issues only become apparent when the game is available on a huge scale, like post launch. As a lifelong gamer and member of communities way more toxic than this, I knew what I was getting into and didn't expect flowers. I appreciate people who have well thought out posts on our games, good or bad. TA has been invaluable for me as a CM. It's helped get some big and small things changed in our games since I've joined last July. I plan on using this forum along with the Game CM to make sure we can iron out the issues you all are raising. Please continue to let me know any problems you all experience and I'll be doing my best to relay that feedback to the team.
Why does GL need feedback to tweak their games? They have all the money I the world and they can't even fix bugs before launching a game. Truth is they're a joke and want money, plain and simple.
So what's the deal on the internet connection thing? That's our main problem, I don't know if the servers are overloading or what, but many people have the problem with not being able to connect and dying, while their internet is still on elsewhere. Anyway thank for the support Ryan, and I hope your health is back to normal.
I noticed that there is a game center achievement for defeating the Rhino. I completed the game, however, I haven't come across the Rhino boss fight. Is the Rhino being added in an update or did I miss something. Also, is there a way to replay missions? In the first game I could replay all the main missions after beating the game.
If you go to the news section within the game it says that Chapter 8 is a bonus chapter that will be unlocked soon, featuring a new villain.
