I haven't found a pattern that allows me to craft guns, but I found ammo. So I'm pretty sure that there are guns in the game.
Ive only played a little so far but there seems to be two currencies, points and real money. You can buy points with money and use them to buy backpack space or just buy tools. I don't know if they're necessary or if you can earn the points in game, but like most games of this type the tools you make have durability so perhaps the ones you buy last longer or something. Sorry not much help. Edit: I've just bought a 79p IAP which contained a special backpack upgrade, a jacket and some throwing knives. The backpack is listed as special backpack 1 or something so you might be able to get a few of them. The points can be earned by finishing quests and surviving etc apparently, I just don't know at what rate you earn them yet.
As long as you can play the game without having to buy anything I'm cool. I have just survived my first night. I'm really impressed with the graphics and atmosphere. I am tempted to buy a survival pack I kinda wish it told you how long the stuff you purchase lasts though.
Yeah I agree, definitely needs some kind of indicator. If anyone does purchase the tool pack thingy, I'd really like to know the durability of the tools.
I'm also surprised this isn't higher in hot new games. Seems like a lot of people around here would like it. The biggest challenge so far for my (day 7) is finding enough food, feels like too much of my time is spent hunting. Good game though, definitely worth trying out
