I'm just curious - I know eeenmachine has stated in the >700 post thread that's it is too easy to cheat on an untimed word game like this, but I would like to know what people's scores are on this game. I think I'm doing all right, but I'm sure there are many with higher scores. Just for reference, I used no hints thus far:

    World Pop: 468,790
    Stars: 165

    What an addicting game. Thanks!

I'm just going down the list for the most part. I am up to Des Moines. I've got 7 stars in each city up to and including Des Moines (with the exception of Kingstown where I have 8). I don't ever use hints. My personal gameplan is to get at least 7 stars before moving on. Then, once I reach the bottom, I'll return to the top and work towards all 10. We'll see what happens. I'm intentionally trying to extend gameplay. I believe my score is around 270,000+ at the moment.

I have at least 6 stars in all the cities with the exception of the last. The only city I have completed is Kingston. My population is 524,220 and I've used 4 hints to date. I still play some every day, but I'm pretty much stumped at the moment, but am trying to resist using more hints.

450,320 pop, 175 stars. Trying to 7 star all cities, but I'm stuck on Cambridge :(

    Edit: How many stars wonderbear?

Wow - to finish a city. That's an achievement by itself.

I have 188 stars so far. I miss the sound of the jackhammer(I liked it better when it was louder.) I haven't heard it for quite some time...

I have a population of 753,360, 253 stars and 4 cities completed without using hints, (although my daughter was playing my game one day to try it out and I think she used one).

I haven't played for about a week as I seemed to have burned out. Hoping that when I go back to it the words might start popping out at me again.

No idea really, but I did have a few really intense sessions, I'll admit!

However, since I've been a crossword puzzle and Scrabble addict since I was 10, and allowing for the fact that I'm probably 3 times the average age of members of this forum, I have the advantage of considerably more experience than the rest of you. Maybe I might actually manage to finish it if my brain doesn't give up on me.

The other obstacle to my completing it would be my failing eyesight. I'm hoping that the new way of displaying already found words might make other similar words pop out and also help me to discover plurals I might have missed. I attempted to do this when I was close to finishing Singapore, (I did manage to eventually), but I had to input too many letters to get to a size that I could see to make it practicable.

That's also the main reason I haven't used any hints, along with pure stubbornness, of course. I assumed the definition banner, which I couldn't make out at all, was indicative of the size of the hints banner, rendering it useless to me.

Many thanks for giving me a new fun way of exercising my brain!

By the way, it's madam, not sir!
