So, $4.99 to remove ads & go premium and now there are things locked behind a subscription...?! Not a fan.
Right, but I already paid to “unlock” the game when it first came out. Those people should be grandfathered in & moving forward it’s is a subscription. I don’t care what route games take, but to begin by telling people $4.99 makes a game “premium” and then lock things (not that themes & avatars matter) behind a subscription sucks.

I’m pissed that you can’t at least remove ads being grandfathered. Tiny “restore” doesn’t do anything and probably is looking for the subscription.
What a bullshit! I paid for "Premium" and now I have to pay weekly? Are they nuts! They shall go to hell!!! I will never buy anything else from them! And at Apple: You should also burn in hell for letting doing them that just to get more and more profit!
I just uninstalled the game based on this, not that the devs care, but the overly aggressive monetization model is not my thing (didn’t Cut The Rope try something similar?) and this is coming from someone who enjoys a lot of f2p games. Shame too since I thought the game itself beat the pants off of the EA version before the update.
Well you can go on their Twitter account and tell them publicly what you think, that’s what I did because I am so pissed about it.
I emailed them about this. Gave a good response and said they are taking feedback to who needs it. May mean nothing but we’ll see.

Wow I got so excited thinking there was an official tetris that was premium. How mortifying this has turned out.
This game was the chosen one!.... Then they ruined it. Subscription greed really is tempting. Everyone wants to get in on the craze for constant cash flow. Seems too hard for the big labels to resist.
I hope they take care of you guys. I never purchased this version of Tetris. I had the original which was killed in the Great Cull and the neon version by EA. I checked that one and I got a message upon opening it that it would no longer work after 4-21-2020 but after getting past that screen, it still worked fine. I've always said you don't own games on iOS, you're just renting them for awhile. But just to let you know the EA version still works for me. I hope you all have the same result. Let me know.
There’s no IAP at all in the current version (which now has Royale and an iffy-sounding daily cash prize tournament), although I suspect that won’t last long.
