Yea, the lava indicates entry into the Underworld level. You'll also notice that any dirt or mud blocks have been changed to ash.

Just get rid of one of the requirements that makes a room habitable by NPCs. (ie. destroy a wall). Then build another room that satisfies the requirements and just wait for the NPC to move into it. It might takes a few in-game days.

Ok so I made more rooms, and *ahem* 'accidentally' locked the clothier outside, where he was 'unfortunately' mauled by zombies, and he spawned in the room I made.
From now on I will have just 1 block missing from my rooms' roof so they can't live there.

Also, wire is so expensive! And when I cut it, I don't seem to get all of it back :(
Since iOS games are rarely perfect, I know watches are bugged, so does that mean timers can't be made?

And another thing- I heard that if you wire up a statue, it will spawn that thing?
Does this work for everything? Enemies, stars, bombs, etc.
I found a 'corrupt statue', but I'm scared of wiring it up, in case it corrupts my land :/

And finally, how do you guys explore the sea (without potions)? Since the bottom is sand, air pockets are hard to make.

You'd need diving gear, that is a diving helmet and diving shoes and you'd combine them in the tinkerer's workshop to get diving gear. Diving shoes are good because you can just jump up and get air. Diving helmet allows you to stay underwater way longer. You can use wire and chests to make a chest farm.

Thanks. After reading on the wiki, the chest statue apparently makes 'mimics', except they don't drop anything.

Yeah but sadly, that's in hardmode :/

After more extensive searching, I still haven't found a hamdrax. I now have 12 Eye of Cthulu's.

I now have 11 eyes (all from chests). I also have 15 spare life hearts.
The max hearts is 10, but my guide says I should have 15 before I tackle my next challenge. Guess it's just a port-problem.

I had 80 hearts and sold 65 of them :p

They make easy money. Got a platinum and 27 Gold coins for selling not even a stack. They're plentiful in the underworld.

Does anyone use any magic weapons? I find I am using the magic missile A LOT for a few reasons:
    1. It's a weapon (duh)
    2. It provides light
    3. It is a great cave scouting tool.
    4. (And due to iOS' touch screens) the screen can be held to gather lots of relatively weak missiles, so that you have one, powerful missile! I love being able to stand behind shelter and KOing enemies :p
I can KO bone serpents with it, which is handy, as I can just wait for it to attack, and it will run into it.

Luckily I found the thorn chackram early on, and that is still my melee weapon, and seeming as I'm stingy and don't want to buy lots of bullets for weapons, these two make a good combo for me, as I'm still new to terraria.
Sorry for the near-pointless post, but I just thought I would call attention to it due to its usefulness.

How does one acquire more magic weapons? The only one I have is a crafted space gun which is basically the best thing ever (assuming you like pew-pewing) since with full meteorite armor it uses no mana.

Go to the dungeon and use a hammer to destroy books on shelves. You should find a water-bolt spell, which ricocheted off walls and makes decent light. (If using a water walking potion, you can use it as a type of sonar. Not like that's useful or anything)

In the dungeon, the magic missile and other magic weapons can be found in gold chests.

Higher-tier magic weapons can also be found in the underground.

Well well well, lucky me! After exploring the underworld a bit more, I found the fire flower, and *drumroll* the Flamelash!
The Flamelash is very rare, and on other gaming platforms, doesn't exist within some large maps!
It is basically used the same way as the magic missile, with the exception of not being able to go in water, and it can cause enemies to catch on fire.

Has anyone been able to craft Hero's Clothes? I can't seem to make green dye even at an alchemy table. Maybe I should try the purple.

I think you buy them from the clothier. To complete the whole LoZ theme, a fairy bell should be used (but that is a hard mode item :/)

    Problems with update

I have an iPad 3 that I updated to iOS 7 a couple of days ago.

I just updated terraria, now it freezes when I hit the play button.

    The tutorial works though.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I found both as well as the sun fury. I believe I got a Mythical reforge on the fire flower, something I'm very with :D

You don't buy Green Dye from the Clothier, you need jungle seeds(27), cobwebs(600) and bottles(9). I'd assume you can craft them at the loom.

Has anyone tried the update yet? I'm wondering if they fixed the spectre boot problem. I switched phones and I haven't brought my game saves over to this phone yet.
