Trying to craft a depth gauge Hello I searched through this forum and could not find any information on the depth gauge. I have the required metal bars and have the table and chair crafting setup. I do not see an option for the depth gauge. Is there something I'm missing?
A ton of the craftable accessories are either not implemented into the game or are bugged (see: Watches). Just wait until the update and most of them should be addressed. Edit: I don't see anyone else mentioning this, but the update to iOS 7 seems to have had no impact on the game or the save files.
Absolutely! It's an amazing adventure platformer/ 2d sandbox game. Controls might take some getting used to, but I feel they work really well. This game is a lot more combat based.
This game uses dual control sticks for move ment and performing actions ( using items swinging your sword and thins like that) but you can also use the item by touching near you character ( which is simmilar to junk jack). It is a lot more fast paced than junk jack. Also, like I said before, it is a lot about combat. The way I play, it's all about getting materials to make better and better gear. Buildings feel like they have more purpose because they house NPCs. The game also has bosses which is one of my favorite parts of the game. While terraria does not have multiplayer right now there is an update coming that will add it later. All in all junk jack X is more for creative stuff while terraria is a lot more about exploring and battling enemies. I personally like terraria better but that is mostly because of the controls and feeling of purpose.
Thanks for that explanation, I am going to get terraria I think, but about the multiplayer- does anyone know WHEN it is going to come out? I'm sure these games are a lot more fun with other players (apart from being grieved lol)
Here is the official post on the Terraria Facebook page. "Hi Terrarians, 505 Games and Codeglue are actively working on bug fixes for the iOS version and we hope to have the first round of patches posted in the next 2 weeks that address several of the reported issues. In the mean time, please report any bugs you experience here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TerrariaMobileBugs This form goes directly to the Dev team and QA so they can add issues to our active bug list. Feel free to send us general comments and suggestions via this form as well! P.S. We have some news regarding multiplayer and Android & Windows Phone this week, stay tuned!" So I assume it will be relatively soon.
Ok thanks! Hopefully there will be Bluetooth I myself slowly get bored with 'creative' games, but terraria is geared more to fighting, so it should be good!
I fall under that same category. I have goals here that keep me going. If/when hardmode gets implemented, well then I'll have WAY more things to do
Terraria has rapidly made it in my top 10 of best games. Yesterday my girl asked me if i was allright, said i looked pale and concerned. I answered:yes, yes i'm allright,it's just that a meteorite has landed,a goblin army is approaching from the west and now a godforsaken blood moon is rising! And i don't have a house here,it's just my mining world! She sighed and continued with candy crush saga....
Hey guys I'm having trouble finding shadow orbs. I managed to pruficatio-powder/mine my way to 2 of them but there seems to be no more do I have to dig super far below te chasms? Or is there another corruptionto find?
I can see these dark purple orbs inside all of this purple stone stuff (guessing it's a shadow orb). How do I destroy the shadow blocks? And is it normal to restart at your spawn each time you start up the game? Found a cloud in a bottle (fun as), and is says it is also a material. Yeah so what do you make with the cloud in a bottle? Are there more of them? And can someone give me a rundown on those man eater things. Their tails seem to get bigger and their idol/statue hurts me when I try to destroy it.
To destroy shadow orbs, one needs a decent hammer. In order to mine the Ebonstone in the corruption, you need a nightmare pickaxe. The cloud in a bottle is used to craft the cloud in a balloon which allows you to jump further and higher. With double jump. You need the tinkerer's workshop to craft this of course. Oh and has anyone else had any luck finding the Hamdrax? I know someone has found it in a shadow chest, but I've been through about 20 >_> This game has been pretty great, I now await for the next upcoming updates that will make this game even more great. I guess I could work on refining my star cannon, but at 50 gold, that's quite a hefty reforge price.
Thanks for that Yeah so a few more questions- How do I get gold coins? What was the dimensions needed for a house again? ( I think it was 10x6) Do items ever break? What is a star cannon? It sounds fun. I want it. How do I break maneater statues/spawns? How deep/wide is the world? What happens if an NPC dies? How do you know where floating islands are? Will things like cobwebs regenerate over time? Sorry for all the questions. Answers would be appreciated
If you ever want to know what things are, I recommend you search in the wiki. Far more fast and accurate than asking here. http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Star_cannon
Very true. I spent quite a bit of my time searching through the wiki. I wonder if/when the update comes out if we'll need to defeat the WoF again to iniate hardmode. I've only fought it again to see what other things I could get.
And what other things did you get from defeating WoF? A few pages back "oooh" was sort of saying you don't get anything different each time.
My question was halfway answered but I'll try my best to answer yours . (Im new to the game). Also to the posters who helped me with saving my save files thank you. Gold coins are basically 100 silver coins I think so just make more money you'll get some. 10x6 yea. I don't think so (which is great IMO). I have a star cannon. Get a minishark (machine gun) from arms dealer (get bullets/gun I think for him to move in) and then meteorite ore (break shadow orbs find where they dropped) and craft to meteorite bar and combine with fallen stars to make star cannon, which uses fallen stars as bullets. Insanely powerful. Statues? Hammers. Small. But decently deep and long enough to spend lots of time (underground has lotsa stuff). It respawns I think. You don't just build a way/climb your way pretty high and you'll find at least one. Idk.
