They usually have a pretty decent spawn rate on corruption. Just wait a day or two (in game) and more should grow. Also, I finally solved the Ivy Whip issue. Apparently it can only appear after you've CRAFTED the grappling hook, and not purchased it like I had from the Tinkerer.
any tips on getting spectre boots to appear in crafting? i have 2 pairs of each and bought illegal gun parts, and still not there(both suggestions that others have claimed worked)...
Blah. Thats what I figured. Back to farming vile mushrooms. At least I have a second corruption bio me up.
What is a chest generator? If you can find the vile mushrooms. I've made 4 worlds and have only managed to come across two mushrooms. I guess I'm just unlucky... If the crafting worked properly you should just be able to buy vile powder from the dryad on a blood moon, but it doesn't work for me...

I used some corruption seeds and spread the corruption to a nice long dirt patch. Now they grow like weeds there.
Chest Generator : There is a glitch allowing the player to duplicate chests infinitely: if a chest with content is placed on an inactive stone block, any tile updating near it will make extra chests drop, but the original chest will stay in place. Place at least one active stone block, then place a Golden or Shadow Chest on them and put something into the chest. Connect the active stone block to a timer and enable it--chests will start duplicating and dropping to the floor. The original chest will stay in place, though it will not be visible. To remove the chest: Stop the timer when the stone blocks are active, or use another trigger to make them active. Place a chest in the same spot as the original chest. Open the chest and remove the item(s) inside. Turn on the timer or flip the trigger so the stone blocks are inactive, then active again. Place another chest in the same spot, then remove it normally using a hammer. Having now done WOF 10 times and always getting the exact same drop, I have put terraria to rest until (if ever) it is updated with hardmode or the new 1.2 PC update. I've searched 40 shadow chests over numerous worlds and haven't found that hamdrax either Anyway if anyone needs help with this game then PM me as I won't be stopping here (this thread) again for a while.

You should always get a pwnhammer but then usually something else also. So it's different for ios? That's a shame.
I have been playing the PC version (first time). Much harder than ios. Gives me plenty of entertainment and a PC update to look forward to while waiting for ios updates. The PC pricetag of $10 is well worth it but god I hate steam.
I'm done. I've had enough. There are so many bugs, it's so frustrating... I've just killed Wall of Flesh (twice) and I didn't get the phnwammer and I didn't go to hard mode. I'll wait untill they update the game. I wish I had bought Junk Jack X instead...

I don't know if anyone has come across this yet, but I found a cabbage that allows me to summon a pet guinea pig.
Yea, it's been mentioned multiple times now around the official forums. The cabbage is one of many items that are in the console version which can summon some type of a pet associated with the item. It's very rarely dropped in iOS and most of the time it won't work anyways.
