Enjoying this so much I bought the ps3 version. It took me a while to get used to using a gamepad - my ps3 controller was covered in dust from many moons of neglect !
You can spawn the boss with worm food.... During blood moon, buy 30 vile powder from the Dryad NPC, collect 15 rotten meat from the worms in the corruption, stand in front of a corrupt altar and open your craft menu... Craft the worm food.
I feel the same way, but I haven't anything but an old mac book and an older desktop. I'll have to see if this will run on either. If not it'll have to be the PS3 version which will hopefully get the 2.1 update. I don't want the fun to end! Oh and thanks for reminding me of pen and paper RPG - I still have to play that one
Definitely go for PC if you can, I'd say console controllers are probably worse than a touchscreen for this game. It's absolutely horrible emulating a mouse with an analog stick.
Yeah I was thinking that plus it will get the new content sooner, my kid said Best Buy had clearance laptops that were pretty nice and relatively powerful for around 200 bucks, as much as I'd use it it might be the way to go. I'd did play terraria a while ago on my work laptop but I had to turn it in and they gave me a really old crappy one in its place lol
But it's not the definitive version, and it's soon to be left in the dust in terms of content when the PC version update hits.
I gotta say, I think the maps are pretty small in this mobile version. I just swam to the edge of the map before being devoured by sharks, and I only had to move right for maybe 2 or 3 minutes.
Alternatively, if you don't have the Dryad or can't wait for a blood moon, just collect vile mushrooms growing on the corruption. They'll make about 5 vile powders each.
Trying to fight the Eater of the World boss is pissing me off. I can't find enough Shadow Orbs to trigger the fight and I have an impossible time finding Vile Mushrooms. No idea what I'm doing wrong but I feel like giving up. Destroyed EoC a few times now and can't find anything else to do, want my Nightmare Pickaxe. Of course creating my 5th or 6 new world and I found 4 Vile Mushrooms all bunched together. Well he is dead onto new things I guess.
Was temped to buy this but watching it on youtube put me off. Especially the animations for swinging the sword and axe.
Yeah I know. Super Mario Bros. has horrible animations too, can't stand how people like it Also: Just found a Hamdrax in a shadow chest, and I haven't even beaten WoF yet!
Got the PC version today. Wish it wasn't through Steam but I understand it is good for antipiracy and getting the title out. Getting used to the keyboard/mouse control. Ios touchscreen was very well done. Hopefully the developers will give ios all the updates (at least the old "hard mode"......
Omg just googled the hamdrax. That looks epic. Sort of a good note for meme, as you get better equipment, their speed in swinging or just getting things done picks up. Such as this hamdrax. That thing drills so fast!!
Help pls: I've just bought a piggy bank and put it on a table as is required. Now I can't access it though to put things in. How is it accessed? Same as chests by standing next to it? Because that's not working.
