Universal Terraria - (by 505 Games)

Went into underworld, found a bunch of shadow chests, got all of the pre-hardcore top tier weapons... Well that was easy...

 

I was too man and everyone here helped me along a bit. I am loving it now but still learning!
Is there any way to show how long you have played for?

 

Found the goblin half way down next to the ocean biome and now have rocket boots, tinkers workshop etc. still rolling with gold armour and grass blade. One shadow orb done, two to go. I've reached the bottom and top of the map and been side to side the world size is definetly 'small' if not smaller than that.
Still haven't found any sky islands yet though and loads more to do... This is my first time with this game and I'm loving it!! Hopefully they will update with hard mode as this has been a blast! Also ill test if the maps can be enlarged this week and if mods work

 

Has anyone ever found 3 shadow orbs? I can only manage to find two per map.

 

i want to craft depth meter. i have 10 copper, 6 gold and 8 silver bars and i tried to craft around a chair + table, but i can't. anyone else have this problem? thanks.

 

I can't find any more in my first map, (only 2) but I have found three in two other maps.

 

I haven't found any. Are they in the corruption only? I went through the corruption areas pretty thoroughly and haven't been able to find any.

Edit: do you need a nightmare pickaxe to get to them?

 

Maybe I'm just unlucky....

Anyways I need to fight the eater of worlds one more time to get shadow armor and then I just need to take on the wall of flesh

 

Yes, they are in the corruption at the bottom of the chasms (you will need either a nightmare pickaxe and up or purification powder to mine through the ebonstone to find them as they can be pretty deep) and No, you need a hammer to smash them

 

I've experimented with random world creations to try and find three shadow orbs in a single world. So far, I've created 11 "test" worlds and have had only one with 3+ shadow orbs. Honestly, it's much easier to just create some Worm Food to spawn the Eater of Worlds than to dig up orbs.

 

I've got some exciting news!!

I was speaking to a friend who has used the PC terraria inventory editor on ios and it works fully I am yet to test this without jailbreak, he is jailbroken I am not.

What is more important though is that he beat the wall of flesh and is playing on hard mode now, on his iPhone!! Without any modifications!

I am lead to believe this is a straight port from version 1.1.0 and this uses the same 'exclusive' console items that the PS3 and 360 have.

Anyway ill post more information later this week, but this is looking like an amazing first release!

 

Took a while but it wasn't really that hard to get this...

 

C'mon forums can have casual jokes every once and a while

 

So I used the purification powder and finally found a shadow orb. I got my first gun from it. Yay! Not long after that a meteorite landed and then a goblin army showed up. I was not expecting the goblin army at all. They swarmed my base and wiped all of my NPCs out. It seemed like it took forever but I defeated them after a good day and half of in game time. Luckily I found a Godly Enchanted Boomerang earlier that just ripped them apart.

 

Do u need to have access to it like a door, stairs for multi level buildings?

 

I got hit by a second goblin army today (which was maybe only 6 in game days away from the first army that massacred all my npc's) and man it is easily the most annoying thing to have to deal with in this entire game so far. It takes forever to kill them off and they're just a serious waste of time. What's the point if I don't lose anything (my money is locked away in a chest) when I die (which is often) and the npc's respawn as soon as they're taken care of. It's just frustrating and pretty unnecessary in my opinion.

 

Guys how do I use the Phoenix Blaster gun? Is there certain ammo it needs?

 

For those who are having trouble with Goblin Armies, here are a few tips:

1. A Vilethorn, from my experiences, can be used to take out multiple Goblins quickly. (Vilethorns are found in Shadow Orbs.)
2. To avoid getting your NPC's killed, stay away from your base.
3. Fight on the surface, and not in caves. It helps you jump over Goblins.
4. The mages and archers can be taken out easier from close range.
5. Leave your Coins at home. You don't want to lose those.
6. One of the Goblins will drop a Harpoon upon death, which is decent for fighting goblins.

Those are my tips. I've fought and beaten 3 Goblin Armies on iOS so far. I've beaten many more on PC.

And a question, what have you guys found most effective for finding Gold Keys? I'm needing a Muramasa, and I suck at getting Gold Keys.

 

Yeah, and they also have crappy childish ones.
