How do you increase the number of items you can carry in your item bar? I have seen pictures of the ios version of the game in this thread and there are close to ten or more items shown in the bar? I know these images are from the ios version of the game because the touch controls can be clearly seen, so, it must be possible to have more item slots than what you are originally given.
Thanks. Good ideas. I started blocking areas off. That helped a lot. I found a gold chest with the Eye of Cthulhu. I know that's a boss I can summon. What kind of difficulty is that? What do I get for beating it? And how many times can I summon it in case I lose?
I wouldn't recommend the Jungle until you at least get your Silver tier of armor/weapons. The hornets/stingers aren't as much of a threat as the Man Eaters, which deal ~40 dmg a hit and can pass through walls. Just explore other underground areas for mineral patches and upgrade your equipment before you head in.
The Eye of Cthulhu can actually be summoned by two methods. One is when you have 200 health, and the other is by using the Eye item. Both can only be done at night, so when you have 200 health the Eye of C will automatically come to wherever you are and start attacking. It has two forms, the first one which takes less damage and summons a lot of smaller demon eyes, and a second one which it turns into at about ~30% health which both takes and deals more damage. It drops a few gold/silver coins, unholy arrows, and quite a bit of Demonite ore. Min armor should be silver, though I wouldn't recommend it for beginners until gold. The easiest ways to deal with it are either Throwing Weapons (which pierce) or bow and arrows (Flaming). It can be summoned as many times as you need it as long as it's still nighttime.
You should check this out. Should help you find things to do. http://terraria.gamepedia.com/Guide:Walkthrough
Apparently a lot of the higher tier accessories aren't available in the game, even with a Tinkerer's Workshop. Sadly, this means that Spectre Boots can't be crafted and I have to waste two slots equipping Rocket and Hermes Boots.
The list of features and items missing in this port is so heartbreaking. I bought the game because it's Terraria, a game that has already consumed over a 75 hours of my life, but I couldn't bring myself to put time into a bastardized version of the game.
I've been poking around the official Terraria forums and apparently the devs/505 are planning to update the game with Hardmode. So potentially most of these issues can be fixed in an update. I think that for what it is, iOS Terraria is actually pretty fully featured. The only issues I've found are accessories and the Ivy Whip, so it's not that bad. Apparently there's some console content as well, as some person on the official forums found the helm from the Dragon set.
I started a new world, and now it's snowing is there anyway to stop it? Or will it go back to summer on its own?
I don't know 505's track record on updates, so I'm going to rate the game on current content rather than promises. Even if I overlook Hardmode, there are the rebalancing issues and the agony of being limited to small maps. I'm sure more recent iDevices can handle medium and large maps.
You gotta get rid of the snow blocks in order to get it to stop snowing. I actually like building a base on snow because no monsters can spawn in snow, and snow can't be touched by Corruption.
I'm so confused so like the first boss I faced was Skeletron? And I kne he's like the last one. Not sure if there's an order. And second everyone I try and acces the dungeon I just get destroyed by the dungeon guards
I believe this is the link to the official Terraria online forums mobile section; although I do not see a lot of developer commentary specific to iOS updates. http://www.terrariaonline.com/forums/general-console-mobile-devices-talk.66/
The bosses should be attempted in this order: 1. Eye of Cthulhu 2. Eater of Worlds 3. Skeletron (2 & 3 are interchangeable) 4. Wall of Flesh Don't try to enter the dungeon until you fight and defeat Skeletron. The Dungeon Guards basically one shot you, but they disappear once you defeat the boss. Sorry, I should have said that it's "rumored by people on the forums" that iOS Terraria will receive a hardmode update. Apologies.
I think this is great for a first release, it's number one in the UK so I'm sure it will be updated. Could be alot worse ... Look at the terrible minecraft release! I've had that deleted since forever
