There is more exploration and a sense of progression in terraria in my opinion. The npc's that come when you meet certain criteria add to that sense. Plus there are bosses and the game is more combat focused than JJ, also I think the combat is the most satisfying of all these 'builder' type games. Terraria just has a different vibe about it, I highly reccomend checking it out Some of the stuff the NPC's say is pretty entertaining too , ha ha
Ok kinda torn here... I love iOS gaming but I also love my pc! Which one should I get? This one is cheaper but that one has more stuff and is bigger....
PC is always the way to go, unless you're not at home enough to enjoy the game. PC offers better games, better controls (you can't beat mouse and keyboard) and of course, better graphics. I'm an iOS gamer, but I'm not going to steer you in the wrong direction. Also, steam has a TON of sales, so chances are, you could get it cheaper on PC.
Not totally true, really dependant on the games design. Some games/interfaces are better suited to mouse and k/b, some to touch, some to a controller, some to motion controls, some to recognition. If there's a problem with controls it usually a design fail, not a hardware one.
Had the same problem. My first world had a partially corrupted save ( a few screen lengths to either side ended with a sudden drop to the bottom of the world and lots of wood walls and all items in chests were wiped) and my second world where I had all but one NPC was completely corrupted. (Not the ingame "corruption") a real bummer but that's why I keep all the best equipment with me
How do you increase the total number of items in your tool bar on the ios version? I have seen pictures in this very thread of the ios version with at least ten items? I know the pictures are of the ios version because you can make make out the touch screen controls.
I'm having trouble locating Spoiler shadow orbs... So far I've only found two (at the bottom of chasms), but you need to break three in order to summon the Eater of Worlds. There are only two big chasms in my world, and I have looked inside and around those and found nothing more except 2 demon altars. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Seriously? That was far and away one of the most awesome items in the game. I don't know what I've got left to play for.
Spoiler You have to buy either a ton of dynamite or a ton of purification powder (I recommend the latter) and just start blowing up/mining any patches of ebonstone. Most Shadow Orbs are found in their own tiny "rooms" hidden within huge masses of ebonstone, so just pick a spot and start clearing it away.
Anyone know how to make a bottle of Bottled Water in the iOS version? I'm trying to use a bottle while near and in pools of water, but to no avail...
So I'm really enjoying this game but I keep getting destroyed by enemies over and over again. I keep trying to make my way down into a cave in the jungle area and a couple hornets and a dragon hornet keep destroying me. I made some armor and an iron sword but its obviously not strong enough. Should I just give up on that area for now or is there some other armor or weapon that I can find that would help me?...
Spoiler Yeah, the problem for me is that there are no huge masses of ebonstone left... only thin layers that quite obviously have no shadow orbs in them. Hmm... Guess I could make a new world and see if I can find more orbs there.
So I picked this up even though I never played any other craft type of game. Seriously it took me like over an hour to finish the tutorial lol
The jungle is arguably the most difficult area in the game (along with the dungeon) so don't worry if you're getting destroyed... that's normal. Even with the best gear it's easy to get swarmed. Take it slow and steady, build lots of safe rooms as you travel and block off potentially dangerous areas.
