If using iPad pause game and you can change it from the menu there, if using iPhone sorry you can't change it. Hope that helps.
Junk Jack X is definitely better for that since it includes traveling to all sort of new planets. Each one is like a whole new world to explore . Terraria is more of a platformer with crafting and combat. Junk Jack X is more about exploration and building.
How do u make the npc's leave a house? On the other versions you could click the flag with there face on it and they'd leave. Tried clicking and nothing. I got all my loot hidden in the floorboards of my house, now the worthless nurse wants to come stay. How do I give her the boot? Edit. I was thinking, that she might not leave because there is no other house for her to Move to. I'll try that later.
It's a tough call. Terraria has dungeons, floating islands and the underground jungle, which are stupid fun to explore and you get a load of action on top. If JJX biomes are nothing more than a pallette swap (haven't played enough to know) then it's not such an easy win.
Sooo... what's the secret to placing blocks ? I'm having a hard time with that. Would have been a lot better with 1 finger to aim, second finger to place block.
Placing blocks accurately or just placing blocks at all? To put a block down you just highlight it in your action bar at the top and start tapping the screen. Doing it accurately on an iPhone though... no idea, it's just about manageable on iPad.
Terraria is ultimately a smoother gaming experience, I think. The controls are mostly great and are likely to get better and more refined over time. It's awesome without multiplayer and if and when it gets multiplayer will be the clear winner. Junk Jack X feels too clunky in comparison.
Long thread so apologize if this had been answered.... Any tips on how to beat the big skeleton head "curse" in the dungeon after talking to the old man?
Loving the game so far, plays fine on my iPhone 4 though it took a while to get used to the controls, which are alright in my opinion. I never played it on PC but I'm guessing that must be even better in some respects... Definitely worth the money though, I've already put 12+ hours into it. One question to other players: I've been trying to craft a Spoiler gold watch... as far as I can tell the recipe is supposed to be 10 gold bars + 1 iron chain, and it is crafted at a table with a chair next to it... Can't seem to get it to work however. Is this item missing from the iOS version or is the recipe different/is it crafted somewhere else?
I've spent some time with both and terraria wins it hands down. Plays great and works well even on the iPhone 5, has lots of depth to it too. Junk Jack x ill come back to later for now terraria wins it for me!
