Universal Terra Monsters 3 (by Social Titans LLC)

    Since everyone almost covered the some issues not mostly all cuz im somehow playing it smoothly

    Ok regarding ranch i wish there could be a minimize button instead of showing all the slots on the south part of the screen they almaot make up the whole screen

    What i wanna enjoy in the ranch is seeing and enjoying the view of it and i want them all to be there playing or resting instead of toggling a different monster icon on the upper right of the screen

    Regarding battles my only issue is when they deliver an attack once finished they just slide backwards that a lil bit of an issue tbh but i want to see a more realistic way of them monster going back to their position instead of auto-slide back to it

    Regarding the chat with the npc i guess its a lil bit slow and the chat skip button is a bit unresponsive that i need to press it several times so i can proceed to the next page


    I think this game has really the potential and im not just making the devs feel good about me saying nice things but its gives me the retro feeling of the time when i play digimon and monster rancher which are both awesome games on ps1 during that era

    This is my impression for now i hope the devs will put more effort on this game and not just abandon it later on i really like this game progress

    Thanks playing and thanks for taking the time to get back to us with your thoughts!

    The ranch is set up so when you catch a lot of Monsters they're all at most two clicks away and easy to manage - we'd love to have all the monsters on the same screen playing together and we did discuss having this but decided it would be a lot more user friendly to have one at a time. For example if there were multiple Monsters on the same screen it may be difficult to manage a specific one i.e changing the moves etc.

    This maybe something we can deliver in future - although it may be tricky to pull off, I feel like having the Terra Monsters animate properly back into their battle position may slow down the battle a bit which may ultimately be more frustrating to play?

    On the next update you will be able to click anywhere on the screen to skip chat! :)

    Thanks! We're pretty proud of this one, there's a lot more to come from it and this communities comments are really helping us get there faster.

    Anyway im looking forward to a simplier menu on the ranch i believe you guys can do even a lil bit to make it not look too clogged up ;) like a drop down button cuz for me the simplier it looks like the more user friendly i think of the game and not be bombarded with too many stuffs in one screen..

    I appreciate the devs making it easier for us to navigate on the ranch screen but if people like the game we dont care and will put effort on finding things and how they work

    Actually im not asking any extravagant animation of them getting back to their position maybe instead of sliding backwards im happy to see them hopping/sliding/jumping back but this time head first and once they reached their position i dont care whether theyre automatically facing the enemies again

    Here is where I'm still kinda confused about your game's design, are you sure you want to have a penalty just for looking at your monster's stats? Are you sure you want a penalty for changing your party and editing their moves?

    To use a Pokemon parallel, it's like if the entire Pokemon tab in the pause menu is unavailable unless you're in a Poke Center.

    If you just wanted to stop people from abusing the free healing, then you could have the ranch not heal monsters by default and then remove the location penalty. Then, have a button that says "heal monsters" and then that moves the player while healing the monsters.

    I don't know yet if the game's world is designed around this restriction (if you feel that allowing the player to change their party and edit moves on the go is an unfair advantage), so maybe it's not a big deal in the long run. Still, it's an unconventional design choice that had me confused for a while, so I just wanted to make sure if it was intentional that you put a penalty on just looking at your current party.

    For just looking at your monsters, I can see why it might be annoying to have to go back to your ranch, there should perhaps be an additional screen for viewing your monsters on the go. It would be useful for seeing how much XP to the next level, tiredness and any lingering status effects currently applied to the monsters and possibly for editing moves too, we do want people to make the most out of the cards they earn and an extra way to do this without teleporting them around the map sound very reasonable. It would be a feature that I'd want to get done right so unlikely I'd be able to do get this feature out within hours like the other stuff going on right now, but perhaps within this week I can at least trial it. I can't think of many real downsides so long as it's presented nicely. Thanks for the idea, exactly the sort of discussion we were hoping for here.


    Since my last post we've changed a few more texts so that it all hopefully makes a bit more sense, fixed an issue on android that meant input text was white on a white background, fixed an issue where respawn location markers could float and a few other things.

    So I only got to play for about a half hour last night and the only thing I noticed were sluggish menus on my mini 4. I would hit a button and it's like it had to think for a second before moving on.

    I'm going to play more later, but I like it so far.

    The menus being a bit sluggish is a concern, I'll spend some time over the weekend investigating this one.

    I am at the quest when you buy a card pack and you have to equip a move. Apparently I equipped the move before the tutiorial told me to and now it is stuck at this quest. It keeps telling me in active quests that I need to equip a move but I have already done so. I can't move forward. Any advice?

    Hey Boodro, a few people have done this - it'll be fixed in the newest version so that this can't happen. I think you'll have to restart the game and play those first few mins again and re do the tutorial, sorry for the inconvenience. When you get the move only equip it once you're prompted to by the game.

    Wow the new version looks great... A lot of hard work for making it 3d. We're making a monster collection game too and gotta learn from you guys...

    Interested in this game. Only thing really putting me off are those horrendous human character models. The terra monsters look great and are very well detailed, but the humans look horrifying haha

    Probably my fault as the coder here, was so worried about running into memory issues (it ends up using ~400mb of memory most of the time) and file size issues and performance issues that I put quite large restrictions on the size and quality of the resources used in making the characters whilst having a big list of demands for it

    The games now been updated with cloud storage options on Apple and Android and fixed an issue which only happened on very high end new Android devices :)

    This is a really good game 3D with over 100+ monsters been playing for a while still some bugs but overall this game is awesome!!
     
  18. This game is great and I do hope this means that Terra Monsters 4 will even be more amazing. All this 3D seems like there will be huge changes as the series moves forward.

    Though as an original Pokemon fan I wouldn't mind detailed 2D sprites if we ever went back there ;)

    @RossBoss Thank you! Be sure to know what bugs you are encountering so we can fix them, we've already fixed so much this week because of the awesome feedback from you guys.

    @L.Lawliet Thanks! I really hope we can get into a position to make another one. If we make another we will add in mmo'ish features like our first ever tm game that was available on web browsers. You could walk around and see other players on the map in real time, trade and battle.     As for TM3 we're continuing to work round the clock fixing bits and bobs and making general improvements, in the next few weeks we are going to try and revamp the avatars to bring them up to the standard of the terra monsters.
