That is what I was hoping to do...play on my ipad when home and my android when I was out and abount! But no such luck. That is my ONLY complaint so far with this game.
When you have the required items, you can add a job for the "named" characters. There's a prompt to alert you that you have the all of the items needed on the character page. It's like the "evolve" mechanics in other games in this genre. So far, I've have one character with a second job, the one that they give you the items for anyway to demonstrate how the mechanic works. It looks like it'll take a while to get items for jobs. You don't really add a "main" character, you get them from the Tavern for 8000 gold or 5 energy bolts. The energy bolt option gives you a stronger character. I've drawn an "S" rank guy, but others have gotten "SS" rank to drop. Luck of the draw. The "Lion's head" is captured units in that battle. The chest is how many items have dropped so far for that battle.
I really do not understand why they have such limit. You even need a connection...data is on their servers...should be trivial. I was like...WHAT?...when I transferred data on iPhone discovering I couldn't play anymore on iPad.
Thanks...I thought that by the time I hit level 16 that damn object should be in my inventory. I have basically EVERYTHING but the only one I need. No biggie tough...I'm really enjoying the game.
To add new job, you need materials which are farmable in daily special dungeons. Today's special dungeon is pudding dungeon which gives elemental rings and rare ores. I suggest you to keep playing the main story until you hit a wall. Chapter 8 is still too early to look for new jobs. The metal zone 2 is unlocked after completing chapter 8.
Yeah I just like opening up the new jobs to see the skills, it's most of my fun in the game Finding new skills! I did a lot of the hunting last week but I can't find anywhere that drops tears, like sea tears etc. Which of the hunting modes drop those?
I believe the tears are dropped on Wednesday's dungeon. Though you should keep playing until you unlock the 2nd tier of special dungeon which has higher drop rate. The 1st tier only gives 4 to 8 items per run while the next tier can give up to 20 items per run. Tears are rare items, so it's going to be very hard to farm them.
Oh wow ok. But is it confirmed that every upgrade item will drop from one of the hunting dungeons? Just have to figure out which one? Also what is the timer for Metal Zone, is it set to specific times of day?
I wonder if this isn't a quirk of the pre-release. Typically, no data is permanently stored on a device for these online games. Everything is kept server side and your local save is merely check summed against the server master and replaced if there's a discrepancy. Let's face it, people suck and would be doing things like, oh, I don't know, repetitively deleting & reinstalling the game to try and find a better starter, or repetitively going back to backups when they buy a new member to find a better one, etc.. The system used now probably lets them run the soft launch with very minimal server overhead, just verifying device & temp account ID, leaving everything else client side. If they were actually keeping everything server side in a typical fashion, the save scumming being actively discussed as a "strategy" wouldn't work. Once the game officially launches, I would expect this to change since these guys aren't complete novices and any game with a multiplayer component (and that seems to be promised) that gives users access to their save files is overrun in about 11 minutes after the game goes live with asshats who have given themselves near infinite currency and/or a team of all end-game ubers.
Well, I'm absolutely loving this game! Question though... I used my Canadian App Store account to download it of course, but my main account is a US account, seeing as I live in the US. If I purchase it again when the US version is released, will I lose all my progress? Will I be able to continue on, and use my US account for IAPs? I hope so, cause I can't stop playing...
YOU ROCK. That means you can retry if you get sucky characters later. Just to clarify, you made sure your progress was completely wiped (the game reset itself), then were able to get your old progress back including money and bolts? I only ask because sometimes the game never actually wipes itself. Anyhow, If that's true, you made an amazing discovery good work!
Crazy if true. I'd restart completely if I wasn't so damn far (Chapter 17). I'd save up the gifted bolts from mails too and just reset for all the S and SS heroes before the real launch. Oh well...
You guys are misunderstanding something. Let's say you have 5 bolts and you copy the save file to PC. Then you try gacha and get a crappy unit. If you replace the new save file with the old save file, you still have that crappy character and 0 bolt. This game basically works the same as P&D.
This is almost certainly true. But it could still be useful. Im rerolling and im using it to save any decent characters so when i get bored of rerolling I can pick the best one.
However if this is the case, you can't reroll because your bolts are gone permanently? Unless you mean replaying the tutorial over and over again. I guess that could work since they always give you bolts for that. Though that will get a bit tedious since it's the tutorial levels.
That's the thing. They're saying the current soft launch version doesn't save on the servers like PAD or other online games. If you back up an old save, you get the bolts back. It'll prob change once it hits global though.
