Since I was only on chapter 3 Ive deleted it and Im gonna try for an S or SS, lets see if I have the patience!
If you're going to do that, can you experiment by saving your "documents" and "library" folders of the app right now, then deleting the game and putting them back in, and see if the game restores your progress to where you left it (and money / bolts)? I want to see if you can reload your old data.
Next energy pull got me a bard like character, Eileen the Sonstress. First ability is an area 2 sleep spell. After that theres a wake up power, a sleep ward and finally regen. Interestingly the latter two are "equip" powers. Not sure what that means and since the character kinda sucks I havent bothered leveling her much.
This is the first time I've played a F2P game from another region than the US iTunes. Regarding the earlier discussions on backing up files.....will it be possble to backup the files from the app directory, delete the game, redownload it from the US store, and put the files back in the app directory? Not sure if other folks have ever tried that on a F2P game that soft launched in another region. I'd like to keep playing, but i don't want to get to far if I'll have to reset my progres when it launches in the US store (which will allow me to purchase energy with USD).
I failed that stage for the first time too but managed to beat it when trying again. When the boss's HP is reduced to a certain amount, he will return all your units and just sit there waiting to be killed haha.
I'd like to know this too before I get into this any further. I pulled an S rank unit and hate to see that go! If this was tied to Game Center then It would be ok to delete and download the region you want... I've done that before with other games. But it doesn't look like Terra Battle is tied to GC at all (which is why people can "reroll" for a better initial draw like Puzzle and Dragons) I'm wondering if you can use the "Change Devices" feature in Options to regain your account once the game goes global. This provides you with a User ID, Transfer ID, and you create a Password. The feature is for transferring data to a new device, but maybe Support can use this to restore an account to the same device...
I was going to mention that. The settings have a change devices and usually there aren't any differences between regional versions. It makes sense the it should transfer over. as for safety, that's why I've been asking people to try deleting the game and restoring their progress (I'm a little too far in to try that). Apparently it's confirmed if you delete the game and reinstall you can restart so that makes me believe it's not tied to game center. However I can't confirm if restoring save files on top of the new install will work since no one has tried it. I hope someone can reinstall then try to regain their old save state manually.
Great! It'd be useful for all of us and it would be helpful in case you suddenly want your old S back for whatever reason. You know how to back up the files right? I usually use ifunbox but you go into the app TerraBattle and then copy "library" and "documents" to your computer for backup. All the game save data should supposedly be in those folders. Wow they're mighty generous with the energy lately. More energy today. Stock it up guys I'm too far in the game to risk wiping the game for a better draw but I hope that the experiment will be a success so we can keep retrying and returning to previous save states.
5 bolts gave me an A class mage this time with lame skills. I guess I will stick with my current party. Just finished chapter 14, currently farming materials to get new job.
Just got over 100k experience in the Metal Zone. If you've got 1k coins to spare and level sub-20 characters, you can never go wrong with Metal Zone 1. I was able to quickly level up my level 15 characters to level 20 in about 3 battles.
Zone 1 is easy to do because you have 2 turns to take them down. From zone 2 to above, you have only 1 turn, so it's harder to collect high exp. You'd better wait until you see the metal king notice to do the run as the king gives like 40k exp and is easy to kill off. I get 220k exp in zone 1 with a party of 5 and 160k exp in zone 2 and zone 3 with a party of 6 when the king appears.
Thanks for the tip @kobwad re the Metal King notice. We'll see if I can get 200k the next time around I go hunting in Metal Zone 1.
Hmm... so it'll tell you when the King is there? On the map? Since I decided to not buy any more units I might go to metal a couple times but I find that most monsters flee too quickly so I don't get much in return. The King sounds like a good investment. Edit: Btw does anyone know how the timing works for when the zones open and close?
Using the ingame transfer to another device worked for restoring progress after reinstalling. Trying the documents/library backup now. Ok, it seemed to work! Ill try again to make sure. Edit: yes it worked 2nd time too. Just copied back the contents of documents and library folders.
Can anyone tell me if progress will be lost when they officially launch? Also I need an item location list, trying to upgrade jobs and have all but a few items for multiple characters. Also does anyone know when a higher metal zone opens up? I am on chapter 8 and still only have the one that takes me to lvl 20? Thanks all!
Hi! This might be the very first f2p game that I'm addicted to....very well done. I'm deep in the chapter 4 tower right now but there are still things I can't understand. How the hell do I add a job? I'm always missing an object, despite having tons of them. Also...I see you all are talking about different characters....besides the one you 'capture' sometimes during the chapters...how do I add a 'main' character? What is the 'lion head' I see sometimes during battles? Besides that, I'm loving the combat mechanics and the general feel of the game (feel almost like a sp game)....I really wonder what they could have done going premium.
You're my hero. I can play now without worrying about my progress being wiped after I change to my region after the global launch.
Trasferring data works, but I wonder why you can't keep playing on two devices synced (I wanted to play on iPhone AND on iPad when at home).
