Bahl, O'pari, Bahamut, Kuscah, Maralme, Ellvern would be my choice.

  2. Trust me you have better odds with more energy spent.

I just saw an interview about Terra Battle with Sakaguchi. The co-op is on the way with a beta phase first. Be ready, they said it's for players who finished the game.

I use him. He's a pretty weak archer in his first job. His second job is a debuffing mage which is dead weight if you already have someone in the party besides the healer who isn't really there for direct damage. He's good in his third job though where he's back to being an archer.

I'm saving up Energy so I get 10 tries or more all at 1 time to get a new char instead of just 1 or 2 tries every few weeks.

But if the new char(s) is/are terrible, then I'm just going to roll anyways after I find out who the new char(s) is/are.

Yes, there is still an upcoming new char or 2 once 1.5mil downloads has been reached.

Why should they be better? Not everyone is supposed to get one, nor should they. Some people are going to run it once and get it, others will run it a hundred times and have nothing to show for it but the 800K XP and 50K coins (which is not a bad haul even if they're missing Bahamut). How is it a special event/card if anyone can run the level 5X and have it?

While it definitely did not take me 10 minutes a run, more like 5 min, if the idea that I spent over 4 hours to get Bahamut makes you think there's something wrong with the game's design, you probably aren't going to last all that long. Repetition is more than inherent to the general genre. As an example of how this genre works, I've played Battle Camp daily for more than year, probably used at least 70% of the daily energy in that time, have engaged more than 20,000 nigh identical zone battles and I am still nowhere close to being maxed out on the power scale. I don't find this boring or a problem. It's just how these games are built - you either enjoy the puzzling itself where the repetition isn't even noticed or you see it as something tedious.

I just started the game, just unlocked chapter 4. Some questions maybe you guys can help me with?

    (1) What is "B" - something to do with skill activation, I know. I have a lvl 17 "C" human archer that only has .1 "B". Why so low compared to my other characters?

    (2) If I have two C class archers with the same skills, Human and Lizard, just use whichever is higher level right?

    (3) My Lizard fire mage seems to do more damage than his stats would indicate?

    (4) My only "S" class is a Space Flying Mage or something like that. His skills are levitation and group levitation, which are useless so far. I'm bringing him along so far because his raw stats are good enough considering what I have. Keep him in party?

    (5) When you finally get the stuff to change jobs, should you do it automatically, or you might be changing to a job which helps you less? Can you switch at will once you get the stuff or how does that work.

    (6) When units are not directly attacking but are in a chain with the attackers, what happens, they add power in some way? But only the direct attackers attribute (sword, spear, archer) is relevant? And do the "buffer" heroes always get a chance to use their skill, or only if they are in a certain range? (My mage seems the deadliest in this role).

    (7) From another post, I gather not to spend on the 3000 gold hero buys? Is it worth doing the gold hunt? I only have 3000ish gold.

    Thanks!

    1) skill boost adds to the chance of your characters activating their skills. They all start at 0.0% and get 0.1% increments when you see the skill boost pop up during a battle. There is a chance of this happening any time a skill is activated. You also get skill boost if you recruit a character that you already have (5% for most, 10% for SS characters)

    2) Yea

    3) His magic skills are probably doing a lot of damage

    4) You'll "need" levitation for later stages. Need is in quotation marks because you can deal without it but things will get really hard. What levitation does is makes you invulnerable to map hazards.

    5) It's up to you when you want to switch, you can see the new skills on the terrabattlex website (www.terrabattlex.com/characters) Each job has its own level, so when you add a job it is at level 1. You can switch between jobs at any time.

    6) I'm not sure how the bonus damage is calculated. Chain and AoE skills are activated

    7) It's generally not worth it. Do it when you have lots of cash lying around.

At the moment I can add jobs for Pahrl, Kem, Ma,curi, and Nakupí but since materials aren't easy to come by I'm not sure whose job to add

Definitely get all of Ma'Curi's jobs. "My Curry" is one of the best spear users in terms of p-atk (physical attack damage).

Not sure about those other chars you mentioned.

Urgh C Hannum does it again -

All your opinion champ. IMO if you've got to do 50 runs at the bahummut and actually maybe still even not succeed then that could burn some of your crowd out. Just saying. Relax the long essay refutes man. Other people have an opinion too. It's not up to you to say who is deserved of this game and who isn't.

For me, I still like the game, but trying so many runs and getting nothing started to do that cross into unenjoyable. I know it's my decision to do so many runs, but (as a huge refutable surprise to yourself), in some games when items become(in this case) massively unachievable some people can get frustrated and burn out.

This sentence could actually be a summary of the game. Whether it be rare metals, legendary items, abilities.

You're quite right, it's the developers and they already said you're wrong ;)

Even if was "all my opinion" (which it wasn't, it's an observation on how the genre works), not all opinions are created equal. I write about what I know from studying and playing particular games and genres that hold my interest enough to have more than a casual understanding of. What I personally think about it doesn't really matter, it is the way the genre works. Burning out people IS intended. You don't need high maintenance free players in these games, the quicker you can get rid of them, the better for the developer AND the other players.

I just pulled the last of the trio of self-sustaining Stonefolk youngsters (Korin, to complement Parhl and Kem), and I must say that they make for a formidably convenient force. With the tree of them stacked to one side, rejuvenating as they go, it is trivially easy to ensure that Kuscah* keeps the rest of my characters fully healed through just about anything that does not involve one-shots and instant death.

*Or the Amimari I drew recently, my first SS. What say you, can she replace Kuscah? SS versus B should be a given, but Kuscah seems to transcend silly labels ;)

On terrabattlex.com, you can now search the name of a specific job material and then a page will show up that shows what stages you can get that job material from.

Yay, after a few days of trying I finally caught you!

Does attacking a minion or boss with characters it is weak against increase the chance of you catching it? I seem to have caught this only after killing it with both Archer characters attacking it..

Congratulations you caught a useless monster! I just wonder why do anyone bother with these jobless monsters other than those with status effect skills, but good job catching saber tooth king. I got one from recruitment.

Seriously, are any of the monsters that drop worth using? Even the bosses are lacking.
