10-15 drops rom pudding time 1? Lol, that's funny. I ran it a bunch of times yesterday and I think my max was 8. I believe I also came away with zero at least once and 1-2 several times using characters in the correct level range.
So first time and I got 2 B and 2 A monsters along with a warrior and a knight. Grace and Kuscah are my Bs. Keep or reroll? Never played a game like this before. Thanks
I wonder if they are getting so many downloads for the starter program due to so many people re-rolling for SS characters...
I think you got lucky the first time. Second zone is said to have a higher drop rate. Right now, you will always get Kuscah, Grace or Bahl, and the two grunts. The only thing that will change from that are the two draws you use energy for at the tavern. I started with one S and one A. I now have three S characters, so you will get more chances.
Q4e for anyone new. Edit: Someone msged me, asking what "q4e" meant. It stands for "Quote for Emphasis".
I just hit my first hard wall. I had been cruising until 12-2 and I will need to do some serious grinding to beat the boss (the stone kin with his two flails). That or figure out a new strategy. My spear guys are all pretty weak Cs and my best guys are all bowmen.
Have you been grinding away at the metal zones? Those are your best help. As for that boss yes he's actually annoying even after you pass his area. I'm grinding him for his item with no luck. If you want at least one free hit, position one member below his spawn point right before his battle starts. The way he's positioned first doesn't allow you to move two people inside in one move. Let me know of your progress!
Ok, I have a question about skill syntax. Beastfolk Mage. Her lvl 1 ability says "Shadow, 50%." In practice, that means that shadow will activate and hit the pincer target 50% of the time, even if Mage is in a chain but not one of the pincering party members. That is, sometimes she can shoot a shadow at the pincer target(s) even if she is across the screen from it/them, as long as she is chained with one of the primary attackers. Fine. A'merpact the Frostbreath. His lvl 1 ability says "Ice, Pincer Area, 50%." I understand here that the difference from above is that not only does the ice hit the pincer targets (even if he is distant chained, like Mage), but also affects the AREA around the pincer targets. Fine. O'pari the Blitzer. His lvl 1 ability says "Fire Arrows, 80%." This actually doesn't activate unless he is one of the attackers in the pincer (ie not chained to the attacker). How is this wording different from Beastfolk Mage? Are we just supposed to test it out for each new skill, or is it to be understood that arcane-sounding skills are "ranged" in the manner of Mage/Opari, but "melee sounding skills" are not? Also, it bugs me that archer characters aren't really ranged at all. They behave exactly the same way as a sword or lance character in combat. Shouldn't they be able to pincer from a distance or something? :-/
This is a great question. I had thought for hours that attack skills could trigger from a chain, but now I think maybe it only works for mages. Can someone clarify?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is an added word in the attack name that designates the type of attack. These are only used when in direct contact with the target. Sword - "Blade" Spear - "Strike" Bow - "Arrows" For example, Thunder Blade, Ice Strike, or Fire Arrows. There are also different grades of the elemental attacks, such as "Lightning" is stronger than "Thunder" but has lower % of proc. These can still be used as long as you're in the chain. Thunder < Lightning Ice < Glacial Fire < Inferno Shadow < ??? There are non-elemental weapon attacks like with strength signifiers like Mega and Giga. Then there are the various status effects like poison, levitation, leeching, sleep, regen, petrification, bomb Healing and buffs that can be direct, chained, equipped, generate a ward, augment circle, etc. And other effects that affect the game itself, like Treasure Hunter, and Control Time. This list is by no means exhaustive, just a sample of what I've come across, and to show that there really is a LOT of variety.
Well I could have sworn the starter archer can shoot from a distance but my A archer can't shoot unless she's in melee range (which honestly makes no sense as an archer). Can someone confirm if archers are supposed to be able to shoot from a distance? I don't have enough archers to be able to make a judgment on it.
The starter archer Grace has a Megabow and Gigabow that only shoot when you're next to the target. She also has "Megabow, Area" that does shoot a 3x3 area attack. That one is a lower %, and does shoot from being chained.
Btw, the metal zone in the arena, is it just like the regular one (only available whenever) or is there some other difference?
You can now check the stats of every char (from B Rank all the way to SS Rank) on terrabattlex.com. Really useful if you're trying to decide whether you want to keep a char or not, or you want to compare stats of chars to each other. There's stats shown for every job a char has, meaning all 3 of their jobs.
I just lost for the first time...to the boss on chapter 10...I thought all the bosses could be cheesed with healing but my shock was very real when he used "turn back time" and revived his goons and his own health to full
Hey is palpa worth a damn? None of her moves seem as good as kuscah's mega heal in all honesty so not sure if she is worth raising.
