O'pari is a really good B class character, the amount of damage skills he has is great. http://terrabattlex.com/zones/hunting will tell you which hunting zones you need to farm to get your job changing items.
Where exactly did you get that notion? Been playing a month, haven't noticed a single bit of difference in drop rate. Usually hit PT2 with a team of all over 40s now and get at least 20 drops a run.
I think the literature on the zone, either in the game or from a third party online, states that the presence of characters over 30 (or whatever level is above the corresponding zone range) decreases the drop rate. Again, I'm not altering my strategy in deference to that though as I don't want to maintain low-level parties just for that purpose. I'd be quite pleased to discover I'd received bad info on that.
SS seems overhyped...I have Rikken, and I dont see any way in which she is better than Bahl of the same level (or any B or A class unit with a MegaX ability)
Does the first hunting zone just suck? I just did PT again and got all of one drop. My only rare came on my first try of the day and wasn't even the kind I need.
The stats at max will be way better Rikken will also have the nice "Control Time +2 Sec" skill http://www.terrabattlex.com/characters/rikken
Has to be 3rd party. Both the official wikia and the "in"-game documentation say very little about Pudding Time, and certainly nothing about character levels affecting drop rate. Since the game is usually pretty good at spelling everything out (e.g. pointing out how characters above X level get nothing from Metal Zones), I would think if the hunt was harmed by stronger characters it would probably say just that.
Some tavern pulls are worthwhile. I haven't done many, but I picked up one of the bosses for a spear character and some various elemental characters which I am now using in Pudding Time 2, with my two good character that have elemental attacks, to have means of clearing every pudding. It's not that hard to level those C and D characters. Just slip them in to a metal hunt in place of some other characters who can't level up and they'll shoot up to usable levels in short order. I'm bound to never use some of these characters again as better characters come along with provided energy, but it was a minimal investment to get and level them and they've already carried their weight. And still have enough coins stored up to unlock two jobs.
Haha but good luck at actually unlocking job 3... Pudding Time is making me physically ill with all the damn rings it gives me.
You have to take into account their end stats and their skills as well. Generally an SS will have better overall stats and great skills across all jobs (though often some useless ones with it).
My chars are at level 30 or so and no jobs...If I get a job upgrade on my ss soon will it start being amazing?
SS mages have great starting skills, but most of the other SS's power lies in 2nd and 3rd job. Especially for the twins, Rikken and Yukken, two jack-of-all-trades. Rikken is a great archer(which is rare to find), she also has healing, paralyze, control time, negotiation pro, pretty decent utility skill set.
Okay thanks! Now if pudding time 2 would cooperate so I can get my last dark matter...(idk how you guys get 20 drops, my highest in 5 attempts was 14 while killing every enemy).
They're not already amazing? O_O But yes they should be. I noticed a trend where their first job stat wise is usually the worst. 3rd is usually the best or a balance between 1 & 2. Which character is your SS? Don't worry about items, they're tough for everyone. After the global release, I've barely got any of the super rare ingredients. I've done pudding time about 10 times today and received only 1 rare item... too many rings. Good thing I did most of my job upgrades before the global launch but I'm still missing quite a few sadly.
I have Rikken! She is always usable, but stats wise not better than the other characters really and abilities dont seem that impressive from a glance. I actually only need one more dark matter but I doubt this game will do me any favors...
Oh I'm jealous! I want her. She does get a lot better on her 2nd job. She's well rounded. Lots of offensive skills, some support skills, and it looks like she can even heal herself/party members. She's pretty crazy.
So i ditched my SS healer and just started with an S mage, its lower rank but I feel happier somehow !
