^ You know I thought the same way too. My first play through was all dudes on all my draws. However I reset my game and I ended up getting some great girl characters. I also felt like the girls often had better skills than the males.
Going to depend on your outlook, I find it fun because the hunting zones provide nice twists on the game mechanics and it's fun trying to perfect your strategies against them. I've already unlocked all of Bahl's jobs, the second for Daiana, Kana, and Zenzoze, and have the materials and coins to unlock any two other jobs from Palpa, S'naip, Metupi, and Zenzoze (the overlap of materials prevents me from upgrading all 4 right now). The biggest hurdle is you then have to level the new job, but with the Metal Zones, that's not too hard.
Weapon types do matter because extra damage is always good. It's better to have a dead monster than a monster left with only 2 hp (meaning the monster has an additional turn to do dmg to your chars; maybe even more turns if that monster can somehow regain hp).
Paywalls with energy really hurt. My team is way stronger than the game so it just becomes a slow wait until I have enough energy to move on. Enemies dont feel that smart either, rarely do they specifically aim for my healer.
The key phrase up there is, "at least to me". What exactly would you think would be markedly different had the game been premium beyond the fact hitmanb would have been completely right in pronouncing it dead on arrival. I'm not trying to be a jackass, I just can't picture anything about the game I've been loving so much for over a month now that would be improved by going premium. I *like* the strategy afforded by energy systems, they are no different than action points in a turn based strategy game. Remove the energy system and there goes the weighing the pros and cons of doing a metal zone vs. a hunting zone vs. a story chapter. I like randomness, that no two people experience the exact same team progression. I like open ended games of this sort, I've played Battle Camp competitively and daily for more than a year - essentially finished what single player side of it there was a month or two into playing it, been all multiplayer competition and never ending team progression the rest of the time. Relatedly, I like that the consistent cash inflow keeps these games in development. The good ones go on and evolve like mini MMOs. And as for paywall optimized, you know what I think of that accusation in regards to this title. Regardless, a genuine paywall optimization is just a price tag you pay AFTER already test driving a game and deciding it's worth it. Done right, it's superior to an upfront price tag. I've gotten more hours of gameplay from freemium gems than mobile premium games, spent more per freemium title I've loved, yet spent a tiny fraction of what I've spent in total on so-called premium games that are left untouched after a few days and eventually deleted It's just a different way of pricing a game, and when it's done right, it has no negative effect on the game because the game was built around the model. Slap a freemium monetization scheme on a game that's been developed in a way that best fits a premium sales model and you get a downgraded experience no doubt, but slap a premium pricing structure on a game that's been developed in a way that best fits a freemium game and you also get a downgraded experience. They do have plans to develop a console version of the game if they reach the 2 million download benchmark, and *then* you will get to see how they alter the game mechanics to fit the pricing and expectations of that platform. However, Terra Battle for mobile is nearly perfect as is, other than expanding the play modes, I wouldn't touch the freemium model it's using.
Of course they help but they don't matter in a sense that the damage difference is not going to be overwhelming. Yes the 2hp example makes sense but that almost happens never. I've been playing since soft launch and it's only happened to me twice so it's not a problem. And most monsters don't regain hp, usually they have a healer around and healers are generally weaker and rarely attack so you can kill them off easily. Extra damage isn't always good as in some cases you'll have to choose between job types to use and it's obvious some jobs are stronger in one stat than another. But some characters have high damage but worse skills or significantly lower other stats.
Did you guys do much grinding as you played? I'm in chapter 5 and the fights are starting to feel like a bit more of a struggle. I take it the difficulty is an approximate level rating? I'm up to difficulty 13, but most of my party are 10-12 (one 13 and one at 5).
If you need to level up for better stats do it at the metal zone over on the left. Mine are more like 13-15 and I'm only at the end of chapter 4. Don't know how it is at later levels but 1 decent round at the metal zone and my characters can level up 2 levels at once. Looks like the metal zone was included with just this in mind.
I just got a C Rank, Mage Class char from the Tavern Recruiting. Surprisingly, he's the only Mage I have, believe it or not (and I'm on 8-x atm). Is there anything I should know about using a Mage? Should I put him on my team (I've been doing fine without one since the beginning of the game, lol)? If yes, can you tell me the reasons why he should be included? Thanks. Edit: Already answered @ terrabattleforum.com
I did the same until I got characters I like. So now I guess I count as 4 users! And yeah, had enough of the tutorial. Haha
I'm having problems beating the boss in ch.7 level 10, I have a party of level 22,23s. The lava traps at the top and bottom is preventing me attack the boss. They constantly use push tactics and walking over the lava is almost sucidal for all my members. Any strategy to beat the 2 dragon boss?
If those are the two fire dragons what I did was placing two units on the top before they appear(try to remember the exact spot so you don't waste any turns) and try using their weakness weapon and just put the rest of the party in line with the two that are going to attack if you a power point try to keep it until that fight Once you beat the top or the bottom one the other is a peace of cake
FYI Metal Zone 1 only levels your guys up to 20. You'l need Metal Zone 2 after that which unlocks after chapter 8. http://www.terrabattlex.com/zones/metal
Anyone knows where to find a better spear? I am at chapter 11, my spearman is still that knight and he is taking a lot of damage at level 30. I haven't lost a battle yet but he dies every game now; he takes 2-3 hits and dies.
Hope to get one on a lucky tavern roll? =/ If you want to grind there is a very low chance of getting a Lizardfolk Hero (spear) and Beastfolk Hero (sword) on Chapter 3 Part 5. Both are B
I already wasted 20k on tavern rolls. And thanks for the info I already have Amazora (Sword B) but I need a better spear.
Yeah I know, I saw on your post. Anyway, again thanks for the info. Chapter 11 boss is very unforgiving, one wrong move and your party wipes out. I failed him twice already.
Have you tried leveling your characters in the metal zones? Or even making new jobs for your named characters?
