The King is a boss monster that gives bonus XP. It'll say "all hail the king" at this time if he is there.
There's an unofficial forum (or forums, w.e) for Terra Battle: www.terrabattleforum.com It's still pretty new, so let's help make it grow! Btw, they're in need of moderators, so...
I rerolled a few times until I got a group I liked. I ended up with Bahl, Gatz (S class, gives levitation), and Samupi (A class, has different weapons for each job). I think I will have a lot of flexibility in the long run, but this group is actually a bit tougher to play in the early going because of a lack of damage procs for Bahl and Gatz.
Absolutely loving this game, the battle system is very much skill based and quite addictive! Very satisfying when you play fully linked multi killing chains. Have to say I would be dead in the water a long time before chapter 11 without the starter healer and the aoe rape fest fire ss I got from the Twitter code giving 5 energy for my ss Wonderful artwork and interesting gameplay, have not needed to spend a single penny on this game, with a little thought you can complete any level, I have hit zero pay walls whatsoever, very much looking forward to the new game modes and will be well prepared for their release
So, having just finished chapter 4, my party feels even more unbalanced now, having gained Ba'gunar and getting Ellvern with my energy pull. So now, my B+ stable includes 3 sword guys, one spear, and two Mage/healers. What I wouldn't give to have started with Grace instead of Bahl. If I had this would have been perfect.
Because it's Freemium can't be a GOTY ? Ridiculous. If the game is good, even free, no need to be a premium game.
Don't sweat it. I only have one B+ spear class so far and am nearly done with Chapter 16 with my "advanced" party, and I just finished through Chapter 6 today using only C & D commons. Tactics are more important than abilities or even the right weapon class/element. The only level I failed so far using all commons was the first time I went up against the Arachnobot boss in 6.5. I had to swap in more spear class fighters to handle that level over the battle mages I was using. Your choices about who to hit when and lining up for attack bonuses and remote proc skills is where the real power is
Freemium as in paywall optimized, open endend .... this system with a premium game structure would make A HUGE difference, at least to me. The game is good within the limits of freemium games. But it could be amazing.
I played until the end of chapter 2 and I really like what I have seen so far. I decided to restart the game in order to reroll my characters. Does anyone else have this problem? When I start chapter 2, I have 6 energy bars. Then with the twitter code given out by the company, I get 5 more energy bars. With 10 bars, I supposedly can recruit 2 new characters. Well, no. I roll the first character, and then I only get some kind of character upgrade with the remaining 5 energy bars. I want 2 characters instead of only one. I have restarted the game many times, and I always get the same result... Really frustrating :/
Tried also that. The second roll gave a bonus to my main character... EDIT: I tried once more and got 2 characters this time, but they were class B and A. It's really random I guess. I am sick and tired of going through the tutorial though...
Thanks for the input. Turns out that the Mage I just got can switch to spear with job 2 and my spear guy can switch to bow with job 2, so working on unlocking those would make the team more balanced. Is unlocking the jobs as big a chore as it sounds like?
Don't worry too much about classes. Later on, your stronger characters will still dominate regardless of the weapon type. The only big differences are the melee attacks of mages vs everyone else. And since you will be aiming to link all the time, you should probably still get decent attack damage.
i haven't done a full statistical analysis but my feeling is that the cute characters have been intentionally rigged to be rarer even though they're featured the most predominantly in the game's advertising. regardless, some stellar art in this pack! http://starpause.com/weeklybeats/terra-b4ttle-b4bes.jpg
