Healer is necessary in each team, but you don't need 2 healers. You'll do fine with only 1. Edit: Ok, I'm talking about in the early stages, not so sure about the high level stages. But I'm doing fine with only 1 on 6-x. In 4-3 when you're facing the boss, try to keep your chars in the empty spaces between the traps so you'll have 2 vertical columns of chars (and keep atking whenever possible). Just keep doing this, even if any of your chars are pushed away by the boss' atk. Don't worry if one of your chars die. Umm, I hope this makes sense. Lol Oh, and all my chars are around lvl 15, so it'll help to lvl up your chars if they're still low lvls. Btw, I only have 1 S rank, 1 A rank, 2 B ranks, and 2 C ranks in my team. Note: Char is a quick way of saying character
No, I described it as using a tile movement style that *happens* to be from a popular match-3 game. No matching, no match-3; and since this game does not involve matching, you are smart enough to figure out my quibble ------- Even though I know this same critique is coming in EVERY thread about a free game, I will never understand it. "Ohnoes, I have failed, clearly it is the evil game designers trying to make me pay them for all this enjoyment I'm having, those bastards!!!!" I had NO option to pay for an entire month, never felt pressured in the least to pay, made it all the way into chapter 16, and then dropped $20 the millisecond I could just because the game deserves every penny and more (and only got 2 new characters with the 6 pulls that got me haha). The one and only time I encountered an "insurmountable" challenge was 8 chapters ahead of where you are and I just went off and leveled a bit and then beat it. Since that sort of "you suck, go pound slimes for a while!" wall is found in the overwhelming majority of JRPGs, trying to blame it on the free to download mechanics is misguided. Unless you just want to pay to continue after every failure, and I'm sure there's a point even that won't work, there is no PTW here. It is more pure strategy game than RPG, no doubt (saw you critique that in a later post), so, yes, you will need to go grind to level (15-9 is the most amazing place I've found so far: 35K-40K XP & more than 1K gold), will need to figure out the optimal team from the pieces you have, and occasionally even go find new pieces to make a level easier, but all spending for pulls does is get you more variety in pieces as well as buff the proc rates on existing pieces when you pull a duplicate. There is no need to pay unless you want to, (I wanted to, I find it an amazing game), so chafing at the free to playness of this game is a self-inflicted wound. There's no inventory constraints, no ads, stamina, which IS part of the strategy in this genre of games, replenishes quickly enough, and the right selection of C & D commons can beat any level I've seen anyhow. In fact, anyone who thinks there is a PTW element to this game, tell me what level is kicking your butt and I'll go beat it with a team of all commons or admit I can't
At long last... It's not that great though :S I was hoping his card size would be as big as that giant-sized card you see him have when you're fighting him, but he's only the size of a normal-sized card if you have him on your team in battles -.- Oh well, at least he replaces my C Rank Knight that I got from the beginning of the game xD
Yea for some reason its only been released in a handful of countries. Canada, US, UK, Japan, Spain, Germany and France.

Nice tips! Luckily if you start the game now you get a great healer (I actually used 5 bolts to get him before). He even has a skill that's rare for healers which allows you to heal ANY unit even if they're not on your pincer link. It's quite good.
Those who are having trouble passing a certain stage, all you have to do is go to metal zone to level them quickly. And for those who don't know, you can pass through your own character tile multiple times, it will move them multiple times until your time has ran out.
"Bumping" this old topic (finding a dark character to use against the boss you encounter in 13.8) I'm replaying all the chapters with just C&D commons as a test/proof of concept and noticed that the Beastfolk Mage that you encounter in Chapter 3.3 & 3.5 is a Dark Magic user (has a 2 tile range vertical blast) and is recruitable, 3.3 is best place to recruit since there are far more of them.
Yeah, it's supposed to be, and is explained in game. If you look at a "card" it lists the skill, the range/effect, and percentage chance it will trigger. That chance is boosted by the boost skill that the character has. For example, if you have the skill "counterattack, 30%" and a skill boost of 7.1% then there is a 37.1% chance that the character will counterattack enemies upon being hit. EDIT: This is why duplicate pulls/battle recruits are a good thing: they bump the skill boost for a character by 5%. An uber power that has a base chance of 30% IS too unpredictable to rely on, but get that same character's skill boost over 40% and suddenly it becomes very powerful.
Anyone job change yet? Do I have to re-level my new job? One of my SS dudes is a Swordsman but he had mage abilities so I'm assuming his other classes make him into some sort of red/battle mage.
Yes, new jobs start at L1. This is where the metal zones come in handy. Once you open up extra skill slots you can add a skill from the first job and vice versa. As a rule of thumb, stats for the later jobs are relatively stronger than earlier jobs
Ah! Thank you for the information. BTW, I need Dark Matter and it means that I need to hunt at hunting zone- pudding stage, does that mean I can only change job during Tuesdays and Fridays ?
