The Gigaworm boss generates a new power point per turn that if not used by your characters will be consumed by the boss and will consequently unleash a Thunderstorm that hits all your characters for massive damage. Otherwise, the Gigaworm uses either an area or cross attack which hit nearby/adjacent characters.
Oh wow, didn't know you could get it as a drop. I wonder if all bosses can be recruited. And look at that HP! 15k holy hell! And it's only level 35!
This is what I want to know. I pulled a S class support character that grants levitation to your whole party and makes the boss at the end of level 9 into a baby kitten since only the adjacent avalanche attack can even touch my party, his ground slam and board wide earthquake don't touch anyone. I've hit him a bunch of times hoping he would drop, but, so far, nothing, and the act doesn't pay enough XP or gold to waste too much time on it if he can't drop
Isn't he just looking at the Gigaworm during combat? Like, touch and hold to see the stats. Or are bosses really recruitable?
Does anyone know when the 2nd hunting zone appears? I'm wonder how far I need to go before I can unlock it. I'm trying to get some of the better items from the zone.
It opens up after Chapter 9. It's also recommended not to bother with Hunting Zone 1, because of the low drop rates. Just push on to tier 2, and start running it a bit for those early jobs unlocks.
Ah thanks! I'm close then i only need a butT load of wild flowers for Samatha. I did the grind for the weapon and that was a pain. All of the tricks I've seen on the ios apparently have been patched in the Android version according to forums so i better get the items / monster drops as soon as i can. Though i have a feeling monster drops are the rarest occurence in the game especially for bosses.
Forced update. They adjusted some requirements. The first I noticed was recruiting went from $8000 to $3000. Still not seeing the value of that. Why spend money to pick up a C or D level Character?
Because they are useful... There's a lot of OCD in this thread with only wanting to play with "the best", but I've gotten a lot of mileage out of leveling and using extra weapon/elemental types for the various hunting zones to exploit that zone's particular weakness. You don't earn XP, so if a C level Spear user with Lightning is more useful than your favorite SS you got restarting eleventy bazillion times, why not use it instead? Now toss in the ability to pick up 2X of these for the cost of one L2 Coin Creep run, and you can have C class characters that proc special attacks nearly all the time.
Really enjoying the game. Plan to spend some IAP when it launches worldwide. However for $5 I think we should get enough currency to afford 2 premium characters. Hoping for : $1 for an energy $3 for 5 energy $5 for 10 energy Currently $5 gets you 6 energy, which seems a bit low.
I was so angry last night. The update set me back A LOT. And also I feel a bit cheated that all the metal zones are free and you get 1 bolt a chapter. So I lost about 9 bolts. I was mainly pissed because I farmed the 2 rare weapons needed to upgrade my SS characters and then literally an hour after the update went live and CHANGED the items needed for my SS characters. So now the items I farmed are useless (as you need a specific SS character for each item). You don't even know how upset I was with all the time I spent to get those extremely rare drops.
$5 in *most* of these games, get's you about a 25% chance at the equivalent of a B class character in this game, this is already a stupidly generous game for the genre.
May I refer you to the second phrase in this thread's title: Soft Launch... you, me, all of us, are beta testers. We are here to let them study how the game mechanics affect players. You didn't *lose* anything because you never had a chance to get it. It's a brand new mechanic *because* of feedback and data from the beta testers. You *gained* the chance to earn future bolts from chapter completion. You *gained* the ability to level up characters for less than you have been. And since they said they adjusted the daily rewards, don't be surprised if we're not going to be getting 5 bolts a week anymore, so there's also that If you're not prepared to see radical changes, nerfs, etc., should not bother with soft launches. As a rule, I do just that precisely because I usually would just as soon wait for the final set of mechanics, but this game looked too much up my alley to ignore for another month+ Just be glad they're not planning on wiping all progress at official launch
The boss is vulnerable to dark - hit him with a dark attack and he'll banish his allies on next round
Gee thanks for getting so defensive. I in fact DID lose things like when they swapped item requirements for upgrading. I have two mostless useless rare items now vs two valuable items I had before the update that were farmed for hours to upgrade my characters. So yes I did lose. If you want to be technical about it yes I didn't lose those bolts etc. because I didn't have them. But you UNDERSTAND the idea of not being able to obtain those bolts anymore so actually you lost your opportunity to have them. You can't say this update is all gains and no losses. Lose is a loose term in gaming. I've played hundreds of soft launch games. I know how they work. I can still write a critique about them. If no one complains / critiques / explains, how are they going to change things? Lots of patches are made because someone has something to say about the game. You're implying that because I don't like / am not ready for the changes that I should stay away from soft launches. The whole point of the soft launch is to see the user opinion on the product before they release it and touch it up before it goes global.
Don't think I have a dark character. Are some level C and D, meaning I might get one if I use the coins draw?
