That's strange. I'm on a 3GS too and it runs great. No frame rate issues and the controls seem more responsive than the original game. Maybe try deleting and reinstalling? Or turning your phone off and on again? As for the game, it's nothing groundbreaking (the original one did that), but still a lot of fun to play -- quicker, prettier to look at and a few little additions. I had hoped for a little more in a sequel since the genre itself has evolved. But it's still a good game that I'll be playing for a while.
After all this time i really expected more. Its still fun but games like Subway Surfers or even Pitfall have way more to offer IMO.
Yeah, I find myself prefering Pitfall also. The speed here is too fast for me to handle. And I must suck at swiping..but I keep feeling like I'm not swiping correctly and dying. In Pitfall, I'm pretty sure I'm swiping the same, but I have far fewer moments where I die due to not swiping correctly.
I played this a little today. It's an improved Temple Run. That's not bad, but not too great either. Maybe it will grow on me, and at least it's free.
i got this game at 9:00 this morning, and now it's 11:30 AM! what happened? i love this game, way better than no. 1. simply amazing.
Whats with the draw-in? Its like Nintendo 64's Turok minus the fog :\ Like it has been said before, the King of runners has not impressed me as much as the me-too of this genre, Pitfall. I'll keep TR2 tucked away for now, but it's not touching my first page of apps. Don't worry Pitfall, your seat is safe there
They aren't properly counting "lifetime" coins, and that's one of the missions later on. Lifetime distance looks okay to me and that mission didn't give me any trouble. Scratch that. My lifetime distance is frozen at 101,011. As long as it's not needed later on, but still.
Barry Bones = Barry Bonds? I had the opportunity to download the game last night and play it for a few minutes. I'll hold off judgment until I play it in detail. Presently, I am playing Gun 'n Run. From my minimal time playing Temple Run 2, what surprised (and disappointed) me was how non-addictive the game was. Usually, when I like a game, I cannot put it down. However, this game does not have the feel of its predecessor when this type of game was truly trend-setting and cutting-edge. I think Pitfall took this type of game to the next level, and I was expecting Temple Run to do the same. I'm almost done with Gun 'n Run, so I'll have an opportunity to try this game soon enough. To the person who posted the comment about Barry Bones, I thought the name was a play on Barry Bonds (pre-Steroids).
It turns out the lifetime coins objective is counting only what's picked up when I loaded and app, and resets back to 0 afterward. Right now it's looking like a real chore to get to 100,000. As far as this game goes, it's more of the same. I was expecting a little more than they have here. I only recommend because it's free.
I found an annoying glitch. Sometimes while playing, the monster randomly catches you without you hitting anything.
