First, Andrew spent some time rewriting the campaign briefings for the Infernus System campaign to better integrate the details with the Star Traders game world, as well as to clarify mission objectives and events. This release also includes several important updates for the locking system which was added at the beginning of the 1.7.x series of Templar updates. Now all locked campaigns will have a large lock icon and a list of lock requirements showing the status of each campaign. We've also been working to eliminate any issues with the campaigns unlocking prematurely -- they will now only lock if your Squad defeats each combat level required. As part of the growing equipment catalog we've run into some items that become unbalanced when they are stacked. As a result this update includes a new set of balancing rules which will allow us to continue to add new and more advanced types of wargear without breaking the game balance. You will be able to activate 3-4 items per level. The release also includes several other small quality of life fixes such as display scrap prices in the inventory, updated dialog artwork for specialist soldiers and some level updates and fixes. @carolefaul - let us know what you think! It is packed full of content with hundreds of levels, items, and multiple types of soldiers. Probably, we are most often told that the UI is rough around the edges, which is something we are always trying to improve!
I saw your comments on pocket tactics saying you where not happy with star traders reception on the App Store. I own all your games on android, and am so happy with them I be buying anything else you release in the future. I really want to play your games on my ipad, what are the chances of you bringing other games the App Store?
Since you already have the games why do you want ro buy again on iOS? Isn't it the same playing on a 10" Tab or Note?
Because I don't have an android tablet or note. Why would I buy it again? Because the devs games are worth it. They support their games like few others do, constantly releasing new content and bug fixes. Supporting them with purchases pretty much guarantees new games from them. I play their games constantly when I can't use my ipad, but when I'm able to, I'd like to play their games on that platform.
Well, good luck waiting. I too am interested in their Space Hulk clone, but I think the developer mentioned that only new games had the possibility of being ported...
Hey CoreyB - sorry for the really long lag in response! Right now, we are really excited to be bringing Heroes of Steel (our next game) to the iPad / iPhone markets. Actually, we think it looks most beautiful on the iPad out of all of our test devices! At this point, we are not planning to port any of our ther existing Java games (Age of Pirates, Templar Assault, Cyber Knights) to a cross platform game engine. We are, however, heavily invested in the worlds and stories that back these games, and the more likely near term opportunity is a Templar Assault 2 or Star Traders 2 that would be cross-platform, more beautiful, and more ambitious! Thanks for all your support and kind words. It's great to have people sharing about our passion with their friends and followers!
