I picked this up because it was on sale but its basically unplayable on iPhone X right now, parts of the screen are cut off or covered. I hope they fix this ASAP.

Yes, seems like it. I only played for a little while but all the menus and buttons that used to be covered or cut off are functional now. Some UI parts still look weird but at least the game is playable now.
