Hey Chris... I have a suggestion to maybe nerf Robotic Bro Blood. How about make his Mind Control go off on a charge? Maybe move up his Battery skill up a little bit too to give it just a small amount of delay.
Yeah, great suggestion on the mind control charge -- we actually considered this, however changing to a charge-up ability is a bit more complicated change than the adjustment we are rolling with for this update: re-working the placement of his abilities so that now the Soopah Laser is the second ability, and Mind Control is the final ability. Depending on how this works out in live and what people think of it, we could always consider changing again, though. Robotic Brother Blood's battery drain + mind control combo really boils down to an oversight on our part. Although we did play/test/balance all characters, due to the nature of having 70 of them to keep track of (so many!!) some of them received more time and attention than others. (Not to mention a few had to come in late/quickly) Oh well... we'll continue to improve things as much as we can Characters who have an attack in their first slot have also had those moves tweaked and moved a little further on the bar to prevent them being so easily spammable. However I will say: withthese balance adjustments it's important to us to not make the characters all start to feel bland and samey -- we still want some to feel powerful -- so do know that tweaks are made with that in mind. But we definitely do want the fun factor sucked out of the later half of the game by characters who just stomp all opponents, which can definitely happen now. So yeah: hoping to continue to improve things and polish!
^Nice... That makes sense. Looking forward to balancing, but as a singleplayer game, i'd say the rest of the roster shouldnt really be tweaked too much anymore. Only RBB is the standout that alone could take out an entire team without having the enemy team do anything.
Is there consecutive play/new game plus to be able to ultimately have all characters completely leveled up?
That would be the one! Have beaten the game but still can't get out there despite following the prior tip. Thanks.
Chris, I'm not sure how this can work, but any chance you can offer a way to reset some of or stats? It would suck to find out after the rebalancing that our figs' stats don't really work well anymore. For the game as is, I guess it doesn't really matter much. But if you ever introduce PVP...
Tap the sparkle during the day the time to reveal the starfish. Change to night and then back to day. Go back and click on the next sparkle..repeat.
Thanks. That was what I was trying before but it did suddenly start working. So, I now have all 70 and got the 10 ticket run done, so all missions as well. Great ride! Will gladly pay for more content!! I purposely didn't use RBB a whole lot since he breaks the game but I agree with the other balancing Chris mentioned as well. Heck I basically just stood there punching with first ability attacks quite a bit.
Ice cream bug? Think I... might have found a bug. Awhile back I got a quest from an NPC waiting in line at some building. I wanna say it was around the north part of the starting area in town. He asks for ice cream. I went to the beach area and bought ice cream from the stand there. However, I haven't seen the guy since. If I tap the '?' on the quest, it points to the ice cream stand, and its purchase button is grayed out (since I already bought it). Anyone know if there's an issue with this guy spawning again, or if I'm just looking in the wrong place?
Between cyborgs bar increases and flash kids disco ball (upgraded) I'm finding it opens a lot of room by making the third ability easier to get too. I agree that the 3x moves, especially if they are 2nd or 3rd position, aren't usually worth it. They don't do more damage than multiple hits from lower abilities, and any modifiers they have aren't that impressive. Given that you can miss just as easilyit seemsas any other hit, the balance isn't quite right.
Happened to me too - someone else posted that the guy who wants ice cream can appear at two possible shops, one of which is in uppity town which may not be unlocked yet. Wait for the next day cycle (or two), and he should be back at the first shop, ready to receive your ice cream
I haven't played with the update yet, so I can't be sure, but that doesn't seem like it solves the problem, only that you cannot pull it off untill you're a higher level. The life drain heals for 14 for me right now, that means I can do ~3 Battery's for each mind control. The best option is to not play the guy, but self imposed difficulty is just not the most fun, especially when you consider it a goal to find the most powerful combo's in the game.
