It's still like it's always been, you have to either randomly find the new weapons, or unlock with achievements. Not sure if that applies with the new boots though.
Just made a video of the new alien swarm hat unlockable, If you have TF2 for PC and want this hat, DL the game Alien swarm for free from Steam, complete 2 online co-op missions, sign into TF2 and play til it drops!
My brother just downloaded that free alien swarm (or whatever it is) game and it's awesome. Not to mention you get hats for TF2. Soldier and Medic FTW
