Read all 30 pages so maybe I'm just missing something. How do I change the active item once I get more than one?
Looks like this version was removed and has been replaced by a free to play version under another publisher. It’s called Tavern warriors in the AppStore but Tavern Guardians on your device. There are ads for coins and continues, etc. but it doesn’t seem too bad, no forced ads or energy system or anything limiting play. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tavern-warriors/id1483159607
The only problem I see with this new version is the difficulty is all gone. Gold buys items for your inventory that help buff your character. Part of the difficulty in the original is the need in the game to match up gold coins, sometimes at the expense of not matching attack or defense items. Now there is no need to match coins at all as they are so easy to get with ads. And before if you died you did just that. You had to start the level over. Now you can continue simply by watching an ad. I realise that you can choose to not watch the ads and make it more like the original...... but I think it is simply too tempting not to.
They are testing a new version called Banquet on Steam, maybe it will come to iOS as well? I tweeted Wombo Combo but no word back yet.
