I plan on getting inked before the new year and was hoping to gather some tech related ideas from your guys. I really like Blakespots computer chip in his shoulder and was considering something similar. Like the A5 chip on my shoulder. Anyways your thoughts am comments are much appreciated, and nothing dumb as tattoos can't be washed off.

Nope, it's an electronic circuit consisting of a microphone, amplifier and a speaker. Haha, an arrow to the knee tattoo would be funny...... for a day or two. Then it'd probably be something you'd regret. Also here's another tattoo design I really like (being a science geek). It's the Pioneer Plaque which was attached to NASA spacecraft that were sent into space, in case they were found by extraterrestrial life!
Don't get an Apple A5 chip. It may be the latest and greatest at the moment, but in a few years you'll be mocked for having some ancient crap on your shoulder. As for alternatives, I'm clueless. I'm not really a tattoo person. Just the procedure puts me straight off them. That being said, the circuit on the arm looks pretty cool.
The tattoo's I have are all band symbols. Not the names of the bands themselves, just their famous logos and what not. I also like video game tats. I will be getting the Vault Boy with his thumb up as my next tattoo: I also really like this one, even though it's not game or music oriented, it's funny as shit. hahaahah:

Well to me tattoo's have to mean something for me. Or remind me of a particulair moment in my life. Good or or bad moments etc. Not just something i like at this moment. Or some picture i like. My tattoo's are basicly memories or parts from my life inked on my skin. So if you like computers or gaming, why not the computer or game where it all started for you. And why do you want it before the end of the year, you said it yourself. They can't be erased so why don't you take your time? Buy a few magazines to see what other options you like, do some research on the shops in your country. Not all shops are as hygenic and clean or proffesional as one another. And a last advice, don't be cheap. Tattoo's are for life, so you might as wel spend a little more and get a nicer looking one then when you get a cheap one which you might regret later on.

hahaha Never saw those before Hope your not serious though, Going through life with a ninja turtle on your face. Face, hand and necktattoo's can be a problem for future jobs though.
