Stupid character unlocking system though, they pretty much all are only unlockable for a dollar each, a handful are unlocked through absurdly difficult achievements and that's it. I'd definitely get into this if I could use coins to unlock the characters. Each one being a dollar and not even offering some sort of $5 unlock all characters is pretty weak tea. I want to spend time playing the game to unlock sh*t and not drop like 30 bucks on characters. Not that I would just sucks that it's the only option. brianj22 Well-Known Member Dec 14, 2016 180 0 0 #3 brianj22, Apr 14, 2017 The coins don't seem to be used for anything actually. So there's like 35 characters you can only buy with money? And coins that do nothing? And an IAP that can double coins!? Am I missing something? DevSam Active Member Oct 21, 2016 27 2 3 #4 DevSam, Apr 14, 2017 Hi, it seems our interface is a bit unclear on that part - you can open a mystery box with a character inside once you've gathered 1000 coins. We'll try to make this more obvious with the next update, thanks for the feedback! fiskadoro Well-Known Member Jan 1, 2009 326 17 18 Chicago, IL #5 fiskadoro, Apr 14, 2017 Am I correct in assuming the levels aren't randomly generated? It feels like the boxes I'm taping are in the exact same place and order on every level each time I play. brianj22 Well-Known Member Dec 14, 2016 180 0 0 #6 brianj22, Apr 14, 2017 1,000 coins per character? Jeez ok I'll play something else. Monetization is too aggressive for me. Mrwubbs Well-Known Member Feb 19, 2012 498 0 16 #7 Mrwubbs, Apr 15, 2017 This game is awesome. The music art and gameplay are top notch, and everything feels very polished. All I want is an Iap that disables ALL ads. Meaning no ads in the slot machine box, and no more having to watch an ad up to two times to revive. Just have two extra ad free tries each run. I'll gladly pay for this. DevSam Active Member Oct 21, 2016 27 2 3 #8 DevSam, Apr 17, 2017 Hi, fiskadoro! The beginning of the game is always fixed, but at a certain point random elements get mixed in, and it gets more and more random the further you get. (Once you reach certain stages there will also be opportunities to skip the early parts in exchange for coins.) Thanks for the praise, Mrwubbs. We're currently discussing several approaches for an ad-free option. We haven't quite decided on one yet, but we expect there will be one sooner rather than later! I thought the game offers very interesting characters, so in a way, to me it's part of the experience. The character gacha also didn't show up for me upon getting 1,000 coins. I had to play seven games until it showed up. (I'm not sure if you're aware, but your contact email [email protected] doesn't work. My email bounced back.) I liked it. Keep sharing this type of games. Yanagi Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2015 246 0 16 Medicine #14 Yanagi, Apr 17, 2017 Last edited: Apr 17, 2017 Thanks! I'm looking forward to the update. I have a question about locked characters: is it intended that some of them get unlocked as already useable characters and then some of them only get unlocked but remain unobtained with the only difference being it can now be unlocked through coins or IAP. I unlocked Lv.1 Hero (the pre-requisite being you need to tap the hero in the credits roll) using coins, but then a different locked character became available for use immediately after fulfilling the requirements needed to unlock. I suppose it sort of makes sense, in a way, why it needs 1,000 coins to unlock characters. I've been thinking of reasons why it's requiring 1,000 coins when the bonus coins you get every 3(?) hour is merely 100 or so and then coins aren't exactly the easiest to collect strictly by picking them up as you go along taping or stapling boxes. Having said that, the video ad prompt that shows up every now and then is fairly common so it doesn't take very long to earn 1,000. Maybe three to four videos until you're able to unlock a character. But of course, this doesn't really help anyone who's not in possession of Golden Tape. EDIT: The game just gave me three duplicates in a row, but it wasn't too bad at all since when getting a duplicate you at least get back a fraction of the coins you spent. By the time I got my third duplicate I had enough coins to get a fourth... duplicate. I think it reimbursed me 120 x2 because of Golden Tape. The free gift that comes every 3(?) hours is also doubled with Golden Tape. It eventually does get to you when you experience over ten duplicates in a row, but well, it could've turned out plenty worse with no reimbursements. Other than that it's been an entertaining four to five hours of continuous playing. Afraid I might have burnt myself out in the process; nonetheless it's all fun. I enjoy shuffling through all of my characters since each of them are unique. I imagine this gem will take the place of Crossy Road and Shooty Skies on many occasions. DevSam Active Member Oct 21, 2016 27 2 3 #15 DevSam, Apr 18, 2017 We used "unlocked" to mean the type of unlock that makes characters available in the box draw. When it says something else than "unlocked" in the description (right now only the Golden Tape and the Instagrab) then the character is obtained immediately. We've had quite a few reports about confusion with this, so we'll try to make the phrasing a little more obvious. The Golden Tape actually doubles ALL coin income if owned (also while using other characters to play, so you don't have to choose it each time to get more coins). Yanagi Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2015 246 0 16 Medicine #16 Yanagi, Apr 18, 2017 The collect characters achievement seems a bit off. I got the '20 characters' achievement at 19/45 and the '30 characters' achievement at 29. Also, for those who satisfied the pre-requisites for Reaper Jr. I assume the only way is to enter hard mode, collect 10,000 points inside and then get out safely? mintyray Well-Known Member Nov 16, 2012 85 0 0 #17 mintyray, Apr 18, 2017 Does coin doubler come with no ads Yanagi Well-Known Member Sep 30, 2015 246 0 16 Medicine #18 Yanagi, Apr 18, 2017 Ads still show up.
