A good game for toddlers to smack up your screen. :)
Did this version always had an IAP to remove ads?

    Nope.
People who bought Tap the Frog will never see ads in the game.
For those people there is no "Remove ads" button, because they don't have ads :)
People who downloaded the game while it free - will get ads and they will gave IAP to remove ads (but we show not many ads, to be honest)

SOOOOOO bait and switch? "Now it's FREE for the holidays time!
Enjoy! " Your words but it's not free is it? Still cost money to remove ads?

I'm not really understand what you mean :)
Tap the Frog was paid game more than 6 years.
During the holidays price is $0.00 - (Which means game is free)
If you get it for free - you will have a bit of ads (it's unfair to those people who bought it for money)
If you enjoying the game - you can buy ad removal or wait few weeks until the game will be paid again.

I know what he means. It is priced "free", but not for the same product. To get the same adfree experience costs €1.09. I don't mind it is adsupported with an IAP, when it is clearly stated in the app description. Also, can you unlock the games by playing (and without excessive grinding?) or does it require an IAP. That has always stopped me from buying the game. Unclear descriptions.
