Yeah it's mostly aesthetic. Later on there's a building that allows you to create new land and plant trees and stuff so it's just what you like.
Ah that's cool so I'm the long run the only difference is the trees since you can build and change the island later on? I do love sim builders and wish iOS had better that's all that's making me want to try this one more. Not mad about tapping but doesn't seem so bad here in the few minutes I had.
Yeah I'm loving this one more and more. The tapping ain't bad, because you can also just hold instead of tapping. It uses energy to do this, but after you build the gym you can generate energy the same way. I would recommend using the hold(auto tap) inside the buildings and use tapping for construction since that won't use energy. But it doesn't matter too much once you can generate energy.
I still can't pick an island....is there an easier way to view it properly before clicking new game then deleteing and redownloading again? Some I like the look of but then they are awkwardly shaped where I can't imagine how to do it and other are shaped well but I don't like the look of it.
I like these trees the most for the look I think but what do you think about the shape? You've all played much more than me so have a better idea of what works.
That should be fine. Personally I didn't like the islands that tended to sprawl out in a line. More centralized, like the one you posted, makes it easier to develop. That one has some cool coastline too which will be fun for placing beaches, ports, piers, etc. And of course you can manipulate land later on. But that's a good island imo. ALSO - you don't need to delete and redownload to pick a new island. Just don't build anything and restart the app. If you hit the little Circle icon on the right instead of New Game, it retools the island. You get to see it for a few seconds before the window pops up again.
I feel like progress is very slow due to a lack of income. Is there something I'm missing? Anyone have any tips?
Progress doesn't need to stop at all if you think and balance your buildings out because you can go into the office to generate cash and into the production buildings to produce them and when you run out of energy you can go into the gym to get more. You could play constantly if you wanted it's just a case of how much time you want to put in as progress is slower by closing and waiting.
No problem, for me it's hard to decide I think the being able to play constantly like that is great but I feel like I'm wasting my time just holding my finger down doing nothing else. I kind of wish the game generated better passive income for progressing as it seems like you need to stay in game holding down to get anywhere.
I agree, it's a bit time wasting, so have concentrated on upgrading hotels and restaurants which provide reasonable passive income. Hotels overnight (away from game for 8 hours) and restaurants at lunch time. The bank also pays some interest on unused funds.
Quick Q; does anyone know if the spa gives additional energy from tapping in the gym, or just passive?
Does this have cloud saves? I can't find an option for them. I started playing on my iPad but that means I'll never be able to get the money from the restaurant
Anyone else having issues with the tasks? Specifically the "you have one day to complete" tasks? They're disappearing before I have a chance to finish them - getting way less than a day to get them done. I like the tasks, but it almost seems random sometimes... Thoughts?
