Exactly if you have no energy you ARE not able to tap tap away. What i do now if i need to build a service building or upgrade i make sure before hand i have enough people looking for a job to fill it.
I'm slightly confused by the lightening energy - what exactly is this and what I'm I spending it on? I've not used any auto tapping but it's dropping all the time - including I think when I'm not using the app
That's Power. It's a resource generated by Power Plants. Every building you place uses a certain amount of power, so you need to make sure you upgrade / build new power plants. It doesn't decrease over time, it's a static amount based on how much you have and how much is being used to power facilities.
It's the amount of output from the power station. It will reduce with new builds and upgrades which take more energy. If this falls to zero then some buildings will shut down until the power station is upgraded (or another one built).
Ah I see. I haven't had that problem because I pay attention to the unemployment rate. It actually warns you to keep an eye on it in the tutorial. So having to wait for the population seems like a fitting result for not planning carefully. You can of course destroy another building and then you have enough workers. Or wait a little bit. Personally I like games with consequences. The fact that this game has NO TIMERS if you are a good city manager is pretty cool.
BTW - you can delete the game and redownload to start over if you want. I did that after learning some of the basics about the game. It's also cool to see the different types of islands you can get. Palm trees are my favorite so far, although the orange pine trees are cool too.
Fun game but I got stuck and had to reset it. You definitely have to plan out your city. I ran out of power but upgrading the power plant didn't do anything because I didn't have the people to work it. And I couldn't buy more apartments because I didn't have the power.
The apartments fill up over time, so chances are if you waited a bit you'd have enough. You can also enter an existing apartment and hold the button to fill up with people faster in exchange for energy. You can't actually get STUCK permanently, but if you don't plan it out you might have to wait for resources which isn't a big deal. You can generate resources if you have energy of course, but until you build the fitness center you can run out of energy and will have to wait.
I'm over capacity for people so I can't get anymore until I can get the max to go up. My people max is at 3000 but I have 4412 so working the apartment doesn't do anything. Edit: I figured it out. I didn't know you could demolish buildings so I just destroyed an office building which freed up some people to work at the power plant.
Any advice for me then? Haven't had time to start yet but will do in a couple of hours and hate having to restart. I did try generating a few maps but it's hard to know what will be good or not, although I suppose that part is just aesthetics and that they can all be as big?
Yea, tap the service button in the road / building info window You can destroy at any point, but to move or rotate you need to build the Administration building.
