ChrisNZL Well-Known Member May 10, 2015 48 40 18 #15 ChrisNZL, May 10, 2015 Hey all, Chris McFarland here. Let me try to answer some questions! Left and right movement is handled by rolling/dragging/pushing your left thumb on the left side of the screen side to side in the direction you want to go. The first couple of rooms show on-screen left/right indicators, but I hide them after that. You basically have the entire left-half of the screen to touch and move (excluding the top-left item box and bottom icons/buttons). In my development, I tried using static movement buttons, but found that my thumb would miss half the time during frantic action, so letting you touch down just about anywhere on the left side of the screen and dragging/moving your thumb in the direction you want to go feels much, much nicer, and less prone to error. Gameplay video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvO51ewA6dk iPhone 5s screenshot: iPad 3 screenshot: I haven't tried tackling this yet. What controller(s) are recommended? Apologies for that, I'll start working on a scaling option today. I added a fix to downscale the resolution for the latest iPad models (Apple initially rejected my early submissions because the text was way too small - fair enough). But I guess the latest iPhone model is just a bit too high resolution, though not small enough for Apple to complain. The higher the resolution, the smaller the text is at the moment. On my iPhone 5s, it's small but readable, but I can see the value in adding a scaling option to make things larger, so I'll get onto that. I'm using Unity's old GUIText components to handle text, which doesn't scale with screen size unfortunately. My quick fix will be to optionally downscale the screen resolution, so I'll see about adding a custom option for that. The more ideal fix will be for me to convert my entire UI to Unity's new UI/canvas system so the resolution stays native and only the UI scales bigger or smaller; will be a fair bit of work, but will probably be the way to go in the long-run, so I'll add it to my to-do list. Cheers, Chris psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,964 717 113 England #16 psj3809, May 10, 2015 Thanks Mr developer ! Sweet, thanks, think I'll order a SteelSeries Stratus XL today. Looks like the InControl controller plugin that I use on my desktop version supports MFi, so should be easy enough to implement.
