N00b question After playing playing Talisman Horus Heresy I decided to pick this up and have been enjoying it immensely. To further support, I bought an expansion and the gold rune cards set. My question is, if I am using the cards does the AI get to use them as well or can I make it so only I have access to them?
Thanks a lot for your purchases! (I work on the game). The runestones are attached to the character you use. If you have the runestones house rule switched on, you can choose to select which runestones the AI will use, or them them choose for themselves. You can use this to make the game easier or harder, by giving yourself different levels of cards than the AI. Expansions add alternate endings, which make the whole game very different, but without any expansions you can switch on the 'Race to the Crown' house rule which means that the winner is the first player to reach the Crown of Command. Hope this helps. Enjoy the game!
@jaxon58 Do you have more informations about the Blood Moon expansion release? Gesendet von meinem SM-N915FY mit Tapatalk
Sorry, I missed this post. The Blood Moon expansion is out now. We had some technical issues with iCloud which delayed it a little, but it's out now. It's a great expansion that adds lots of new features! Enjoy!
Thank you can't wait to try it out! I have to wait a few more hours for my workday to finish. Gesendet von meinem SM-N915FY mit Tapatalk
I have a really hard time picking up a multiplayer game and I really can't justify any more purchases until I can actually start enjoying multiplayer properly
Anyway it's better to play mobile/PC Talisman because the real game and all the expansions cost hundreds of dollars and require a whole room to keep it I like that there's a chat in multiplayer ^_^
At the time you posted this, the cross-platform multiplayer wasn't quite working as it normally is, so there would have been fewer games visible. That should be corrected now. Often, players have private games between friends and those don't show up in the list of games.
Just picked up The Bloodmoon expansion and played a couple of minutes. The graphical representation of day and night is nice looking and the couple of new cards I've encountered seem to really focus on the day / night mechanic which is really cool. Never having played the physical game a lot of these features are brand new to me. I really hope The Woodlands is next in line . I would also recommend any Talisman fan to check out The Bottled Imp on YouTube. He is a big Talisman fan who has reviewed almost all, if not all, of the expansions.
The Bottled Imp did an interview with me at the Uk Expo back in June. He's a very nice guy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AC5nJKJ-hdM
Ha! Yep, that's me. The Uk Games Expo was a great chance to meet people who have bought Talisman and chat to them about it. It's not always easy to do that face to face with digital games.
After a long time of looking it over and going back and forth I picked this up today and I'm loving it. Eventually I want to pick up some expansions through the IAP. Which one would you guys recommend I get first. And which expansion has the genie cuz I want him
Thanks I have been trying to find some good videos that are about the expansions as I'm trying to decide which to buy first Love his videos so I'm guessing the rules and expansions are same as board game just difference is of course it's digital and less work because in the video he's explaining the board game but it seems same rules etc Really like his videos and it's helpful I'm thinking about getting blood moon first now Also I did buy The bundle since it's only 4.99 and comes with the prologue
The Bottled Imp is fantastic and I really enjoy his enthusiasm for the Talisman universe. Picking up bloodmoon is a great first purchase. The day/night cycle that the bloodmoon expansion adds just feels so fundamental to me that I wouldn't want to play without it. Some expansions do add new mechanics but the good thing with the digital implementation is that they're added seamlessly. Another person you may want to check out on YouTube is Wargamer: Fritz. He mostly focuses on warhammer 40k but he has in the past released some detailed expansion reviews and general thoughts on Talisman.
