I'm in the platinum league now and I'm having a hard time finding people to attack and when I do it's a level 3. I don't understand how a level 3 could be in platinum without leveling up because you get xp from defense and they could only be in platinum from defense because they would level up from attack as well. This is the case with a majority of players in platinum. I usually see players from level 3-9. It is an easy source of gold and xp, but it's almost impossible for me to complete daily missions since most of the missions require you to destroy higher level defenses. Ive even tried to drop in rank, but it was too difficult because whenever I got close to the gold league I would get attacked and win causing me to go back up in rank. Hopefully matchmaking gets improved in a future update so I can attack people my level, but for now I'll just smash some level 3's.
Yeah I've seen them on the platinum leaderboard- there's definitely something fishy going on here. How do these people get enough gold to upgrade their territory to level 4 AND fill it with defences, which also have to be unlocked and bought with gold? The only explanation I can turn to is hacking because it's not possible to gain that many ELO points without levelling up, considering that the only way to gain them is by either successfully attacking or defending, both of which give XP.
I was thinking that maybe with the initial server issues at launch, people who were attacking would lag out and then whoever was defending would amass league points. It still doesn't explain how they didn't level though.... What are ELO points?
Ranking questions So it took me a little bit but I figured out the ranking system as from first to last in the tier. And of course I know the points that determine your rank and then the decorations you can earn by collecting cards I assume but my main question is what are the numbers with the red/green triangles next to players place in the tier? I've seen low numbers and negative and of course positive numbers but mine is the highest I've seen and the more I play the higher it gets. So far it's a little over 6,000 I'd just like to understand what it is and means also why do some players have orange names????
It tells you how much you have moved in the ranks. Green triangle shows an increase in rank and the number of people you have passed, while red shows a decrease in rank and the amount of people that have passed you.
I've been playing this on my iPhone for a few days and just put it on my iPad. Is there a way to sync my progress from my iPhone onto my iPad? I've been through the tutorial and just picked a temporary color/username, but I don't see a way to enable sync. Also, tactile wars is not showing in the list under iCloud Drive on the iPad, but Game Center does welcome when I open it. Any suggestions?
The number of trophies you have which determines your rank. Assuming that people of roughly the same ELO score have roughly the same skill level, they are used to match you up with 'fair' battles. This is why you can battle players higher or lower than your level, because it's based on skill, not progression. They bought the special limited-time bundle. It doesn't change anything, it just shows that a particular player supports the game with real money
For me, I have my game synced with Facebook. So if I log off of Facebook from the start screen, it'll give me a prompt asking "do you want to load (my other save)?" Or something similar to that. I remember ''cause I was testing what it would do. So if you log into Facebook and press start, it doesn't load the save from Facebook?
I've been playing all day today, and I love the game. This is my first CoC-like, and it's been a real treat. That said, I've been slowly climbing the ranks into Silver League, and I've only been attacked a single time in my whole time playing. It's quite disappointing to put tons of effort into defenses only to have them sit unused.
A quick google search tells me it originated in chess, and is named after some guy whose last name is Elo. It's most commonly seen in mobas like LoL and stuff, but I assume it applies here as well.
Aw, okay. That's about all I can do for you. You should contact Ankama directly and let them know. They respond relatively quickly.
I am genuinely loving this game. A couple questions: 1) any good tactics or tips for attacking? 2) are my attackers ever upgraded beyond just riflemen? Upgrades? New troops?
Since today my progress from beta came back. The problem is that I've been playing in a new account and it was allready beta then the account currently appearing in game. Any way to get my account back that I've been playing till yesterday??? If no despite loving the game I'm quitting since there are too many problems with accounts etc. not gonna start all over again :/
Edit: I just realized the boosts are a one time use. I purchased all 3 with prisms and the chance one disappeared. I thought it had reset because I found another card belonging to that set. But then I remembered it had a 15 minute counter. The gold and XP boosters give you 24 hours. Glad I used those this weekend and got the most out of them.
@game devs I can't select the defensive tab to view what cards I have collected in that category. I can only select the 2 other tabs.
