In case there were some kind of confusion somewhere, we were talking about the PM message system of the TouchArcade forum. Which is perfectly functional as other players sent their details as requested. We work with all the feedback given here and that's VERY helpful, so thank you everybody. One more thing: please note that due to timezones, there's obviously a delay sometimes with the reponses in the forum. For example, for us right now, it's almost midnight. Indeed, things can't be fixed by just snapping our fingers (we wish, though...). We're working hard and late on the mentioned issues here. So thank you for the understanding. Many things were improved over the last few days. We work as fast as possible. Plus the server side work, an update with many tweaks, fixes and improvements will be submitted to Apple soon. Thanks for the support.
Ok. Obviously things I should have considered before posting. Also, I can really get behind the idea as well. As I said before, very innovative. I should also remember that people aren't just slacking off and I can certainly believe that people are hard at working fixing the game. I also didn't know there was even a PM system in TouchArcade. (Oops Shows much much I pay attention.) And in the long run, 5 hours is pretty minuscule. I mean, imagine how long it took to make this game from the start. I also need to remember that bugs are a part of the launch process. (I mean really, how long has this game been out? A week since the soft launch?) After all of the previous consideration (as well as they previous and emlightening comments) I have realized that I was dumb and am now more encouraged that IT WILL WORK. And that A FIX IS COMING! (Yay!) So I apologize for my previous outburst and I hope I haven't offended anybody in any way. (Especially Ankama)
Also as a random question, due to the current bugs, will we have to delete and reinstall, or will it just have an update on the App Store?
One of the new daily missions is: repaint the black squad pigments. How do you fight the "black squad?!"
Dude I feel you. There's an achievement for defeating a "Boss" so.... There's a lot of endgame stuff it seems.
As long as Ankama is working on it, I'm pleased. I throughly enjoy the game, and I wish them the best of luck.
It will be a seamless process. Server side, as you saw it, we modify things and you enjoy it almost immediately. When the update will be live, it will be the normal update process to install it, no worries.
Perhaps an unintentional hint that there could be a campaign under development? Oh and Ankama RE my previous post where I mentioned the 'Time' aspect of battles- I'm fine with all of the other 3 categories, but getting a perfect S in time appears comparatively difficult compared to the others. The only time I get an overall S score is when the first three aspects are S rank, and I only get a B for Time. Just letting you know that the expectations for Time might be a bit too high considering how most of the battle is waiting for enemy pigments to walk onto the screen, despite running almost the whole time (while not at a strategic point), and it only gets harder when people start utilising the medium and heavy versions of artillery. Keep up the good work!
The Black Squad is a kind of unit unlockable in the Tech Tree. Once unlocked, these elite Pigments will have a chance to appear among your defense units to bring key support (well trained and without flag). So if you can unlock them, it of course means that your opponents can too ^^ They're located in the right side of the tech Tree (unlockable at Level 25 and 38). Yes. As previously said, there's a lot of content in the pipeline for future updates ^^ EDIT: Added a picture of the Black Squad
Yes, time is really hard to master. You really need to optimize all your moves. Usually that implies to attack outside the circles to capture to kill ennemies faster. But it really is hardcore at some point. We should probably consider to rebalance what is required here, especially in higher levels where difficulty to achieve good time becomes almost insane. Hints and tips: If you want to achieve better time scores, you need to rush as fast as possible by optimizing your moves and taking circles immediately. That means taking big risks by not cleaning immidiately sourrounding defense units. Oh, and use power-ups! That's VERY important to save time.
Alright I'll try that, thanks! By the way the last two times I've tried to attack people I haven't been able to select pink. The name and tag for pink didn't appear either.
OMGosh YES! Actually, that's what I get 90% of the time, too. Haha I only get 2 colors of opponents at a time. Idk if it's on purpose or not....
I haven't posted in the TA forums for a while, but I just had to drop by and congratulate the devs on an awesome game, can't believe it's free either. If anyone's on the fence about getting this, just try it out and I'm almost 100% sure you'll enjoy it.
This is due to modifications we applied to the matchmaking system. All five colors should always appear now. And global matchmaking experience should also be much better. Players should not be opposed to overpowered opponents anymore.
I'm still having the connection issue in the tutorial Can we get an ETA on a fix? If not, that's fine. I can give you my username if it helps: TactileGAme
Actually, I'm curious what causes the bug. Nobody here can seem to find many similarities between people
edit the missions some missions are required to be completed by things that the player didnt have unlocked nor can theyre find an opponent that is high enough to have that. so can u fix that
My impressions: Attacking is fun, relatively balanced (but hard!), and tactically-rewarding. Defending is really hard and costly. I get attacked about 20 times a day and attack about 5 times a day, so my economy is quite battered: A defensive loss can cost you 10+ gold in defenses and up to 5 gold in hourly bonus. That hurts. A defensive victory can earn you 4 gold while still costing you defenses. That stings. I've given up on laying down defenses. Mines and fountains do nothing, but they're all i can afford, so... People just walk over my base and i get a gold. I'm surprised I don't run into any opponents with empty bases, because I can't see a reason to purchase defenses. Am i doing something wrong?
