Who told you to choose that?? they are unofficial characters from act2 .. I of course didnt choose them
Do I need to say that you might need to level up above 18 to get an accurate picture of a class? Disclaimer: I haven't tried any of the animals.
Fft is basically the exact same game with better graphics, more complex terrain/maps, and a larger variety of characters, and more group customization. Unfortunately, they made a few things way too strong. The game becomes boringly easy by the end if you use them. It did a great disservice to the game. I'd love to see disgaea on the iPhone. Will never happen, though.
U mean they made a non balance between the strength of your overpowered characters and underpowered enemies?
So what did u level up so u made him better this rocheteeer ? What skills and what% of his skill? Tell me coz I believe he is dumb
Tried both the wolf and snake. Wolf is definitely much better than most class i played. Wolf is usually 3rd character i choose in map At lv 45 it has 380+ hp def 8/14/2 attack twice at 32 single hit melee or range special that drain 15 stam at 50% he has the highest hp of all my character with potion fed lv 10 + 80% hp feral courage 10 +4 to all damage +40% stam twice action ruggedness +60 hp rocketeer isn't bad i had it at lv 27 and he has blue horse to disable 1 skill at 92% for 2 turn. and with wide range and aoe effect it is best to use all their ability before the battle get too meshed together. and kick ass to fight enemy with 1 or 2 skill. Knight is far worst than most class it has the slowest speed even with defense at 19/14/2 he will pretty much get to the center of the map with half of the battle over already. even with knightly charge.
Well, I am working on another update. It will include a few tweaks to the graphics in the hopes of improving the screen shots. It will probably also have some balances to improve the animals and I am thinking of adding new starting parties that are unlocked once you have a certain number of achievements. More importantly, it will have Japanese text. Japan has been fairly good for sales and I am hoping that with Japanese text in the game it might, possibly be able to maintain a chart position in Japan. I probably won't be able to do TW2 or an IAP because I am more or less broke right now However, if I have trouble finding work in other areas I might and have time to kill, I might consider going free for a few days to get the game out there a bit and then doing an IAP expansion once more people have the game. If I end up doing an IAP this is probably what I would do in it. A new campaign, a few new classes, and have some of the rare classes like Knight and Gladiator at the start. Right now, however, I have only sold a little under 2k copies Tactical Warrior might make it hard for me to do decently with an IAP. The snake is terrible I am going to upgrade him in the next update. The coyote is good late game like Cloudpuppy pointed out, but early on he is kinda bad. It's because "potion fed" makes him a bit exponential. Also, bear in mind that "potion fed" improves items and passives that increase his max HP. The strength of ranged gladiators, throwing knives in particular, is troubling me a bit. I was thinking of adding a new starting party with a knight and a gladiator but it might be too easy. I wonder if I shouldn't give throwing knives just 5 strikes and lower the stamina cost...
wow.. i cant believe you only sold 2000 copies. i play this game more than pretty much all other games combined. it deserves more recognition.
It's a shame to hear this has only sold 2,000 copies. I understood it to one of the more well regarded and buzzing tactical games on iOS. Personally I've enjoyed playing it. IAPs? No problem here... Off topic I know but this thread came up in my weekly forum search for any Disgaea mentions. Here's to Disgaea on iOS (one can dream)!
Agreed, it is a shame to hear that for such a solid tbs game. I still play the heck out of it and love every moment. I initially got it for my iTouch when came out, but have played it primarily on my iPad 2 since I got rid of my iTouch. It's a little fuzzy but I enjoy it a lot more on the Pad. Disgaea would be an absolute dream to have for iOS for the record. @Jamvert Would making the game Universal and opening it up to the iPad market possibly help with sales(yeah...universal support has always been on my wishlist too)? Not sure if that's asking a lot but I just want to see this gem prosper more and I as well would purchase any and every IAP addition to support the game because I know it would be great.
As fans who believe in this project...and respect the work that's been put into it...I think we could throw in some effort to get it more recognized. Even if it only lands you a few hundred more dollars, it's deserved. I've played this game every day since I bought it. I suppose graphics might be your best investment given that some people can't overlook them. But never let them forget how great the balance is. If you could find a way to add "PvP," that might also land you some more interest.
Does it not have pvp? It says hotseat multiplayer skirmish? I was wondering between this and battle for wesnoth, I'm trying to look for a fire emblem like game but these two seem to be the closest. Battle fury (horrible) and highborn both look and play awful. Any suggestions?
I've not played BfW, so I can't compare the two. But this customization and strategy in this game are great. There's no way that this isn't worth the $2.99 I paid for it. And it goes on sale now and then for less. As I've said twice before, this is probably the best money I've spent on the AppStore. As for PvP, if it's there, I haven't figured out how to do it. You can play against another person on the same device at least. Others might better be able to tell you if there's a way to use the game center or openfeint to play against people online.
Do you have ? It is very much like Fire Emblem... Between this and Wesnoth... they're both great. Wesnoth will last you a lot longer.
I was just hoping You can add a replay map before act3 gaining 10% of the normal exp and only for character that has not hit the level cap for that act. I am working on the achievement on medium and the best i can do it to act2 before even with focused top3~4 character i could not finish some of the map because of some character starting at such a low level i could not catch them up without losing exp for the stronger character and eventually get stuck and no way to advance. I must have started 10+ campaign for medium. FYI good job of not limiting the number of saves.
Universal might help with sales, but it might not. I kinda wish I had more numbers to estimate this from. I think, if it kept it simple, it might only take about 50% as long as a decent IAP expansion pack. It is hard to estimate what kind of effect it might have on sales though. I could add PvP over Game Center or OpenFeint, but the inner working of the game are not set up in a way that could handle PvP between devices very well. It would require fair number of changes under the hood. I have added a few minor improvements to the graphics in the next update, though probably not enough to have a significant impact on sales: Definitely: - Japanese - Few more graphics improvements - Balance upgrades (Snake, Badger) Possibly: - New Start Parties - HeyZap integration (it is a thing to try to promote the game, like openFeint) - Lowering the size to 20 MB (Pretty sure I can get the lite here but not 100% sure about the full version) - Making it a bit easier on colorblind people Well, I might add that. Which achievement are you getting stuck on?
for me...i have an ipad2..if i found the game not universal..i dont bother or buy it ..i find alternative..coz non universal usually looks awful on ipad and u have seen when you did a sale before...all money and charts came from iphone...non from ipad....because it is considered to a person who didnt tried a non ipad friendly..so wont give it a chance and go for many other competetives
