I don't want to set off the wrong impression here, I don't feel burnt... but there is a weird feeling about buying a game when it's on sale to put in the backlog and then finding it free later on. I think this is a lesson that I need to be aware of what I'm buying to play and support, versus just buying because I think it's a good deal and folks are hyping it. Not that it matters a whole lot, it was a dollar... but eh, still, it sets a weird feeling. Its strange though if I play a game and love it, there's no weird feeling for me about it going free. I just hope this isn't going full blown freemium. I know it had some kind of currency or something that could be helped through IAP, but again I put it in the backlog so I haven't even played it once yet. Morgan01 Well-Known Member Apr 11, 2013 243 0 0 USA #7 Morgan01, May 16, 2013 Hmm, lists as $2.99, not listed as free. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #8 nightc1, May 16, 2013 Read the post. It's going free, and is already free in other markets. This is something that very typically happens. It starts over in NZ or somewhere on the other side of the world and moves westernly through each timezone/country until it hits the US at 11pm EST/8pmPST. There are a lot of international people here, so it's good for them to get advance warning of it because often free deals can be for a short period of time and if we waited till tonight or tomorrow morning to post it then it may be too late for those on the other side of the world if it's a one day deal. Rip73 Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2011 4,399 0 0 #9 Rip73, May 16, 2013 Well, a day one full price purchase for me and couldn't be happier with the game. It is easily one of the best available. It nails the fun factor spot on. The visuals are easily up there with the best the App Store has to offer. And that's a very limited number. Couldn't recommend it more at its full price and at free there's no reason why everybody shouldn't have it. And no, its not turning freemium. The iaps and structure are exactly the same. Everything can be earned by playing and easily earned. The cars that unlock through xp and championship results still unlock. And the few that require in game currency to purchase can still easily be purchased through play, just equip the drift tyres to speed earnings up. Of course, buying a small bit of iap, if you're enjoying it, would be a good thing too because I'd really like to see what they could do with a sequel. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #10 nightc1, May 16, 2013 How did you come by this information?
