Terra Noctis gets my vote. It is one of the best platformers I've ever played in my gaming life. After reading Sanuku's post and playing more of LostWinds it comes in second with Crazy Hedgy right behind. Also, best of luck to Dangerous and Critter Chaos.
Crazy Hedgy for me. After reading the GOTY threads I realize that there are probably a lot of really great console-like games on IOS that I'll never play because I don't like the genre. I don't play Dead Space, or Infinity Blade, etc. So, for me, Crazy Hedgy was really the first game that really brought back gamecube gaming memories. Not just the visuals, but mostly the gameplay, the charm, the unique touches (those enemies attacking eachother or being blinded by bubblegum are so great!). I have played many good casual games on iPhone, but this one is really special.
Just voted for M.U.S.E.. Mighty Rabbit Studios started in the same office space as Lab Rats, so we've watched the game grow from an idea to a shipped title. It's awesome that they've pulled off making such a solid game.
I have really enjoyed playing Zenonia 4 so far and can't really get into the rest of the games after playing it.
Man, in all my three years of buying games and apps for my different devices, I have to say I have never spent as much as I have this month on games than I have in any other month, including when I was buying some of my favourite tv seasons. With all the sales and free games that were available this month, I will be playing them for the next year! I will have to pawn my brother just to get out of debt!
Thanks, Echoseven! That gives me a bit of a relief. Erratically I voted for Terra Noctis, which isn't bad at all (I have it and it's recommended), but Crazy Hedgy beats it clearly in my honest opinion. I am playing it for more that two hours now and it's flawless and crazy fun! Have a look at the very interesting tA main thread about Sonic the Hedgeball Crazy Hedgy with some background information and not only one bad review. Don't miss the sale! One of the best newcomers out of nowhere (okay—devs are located in Vienna, Austria) in the last months.
Looking at the results I don't think it will much matter! Crazy Hedgy has a sizable lead and the poll closes soon. Even the battle for second and third look secure.
Yeah, if it would've come out earlier and I had the chance to play a little bit more, it could've easily been in my top 5 games of 2011!
Game was relelased on the 14th. We are talking here about Games that got released between the 12.18.12-11.24.12
Crap, you're right! I just checked AppShopper. I guess it just got looked over the previous week. Plus, I thought it came out for this week because the thread started this week. My bad!
