It's not surprising, it follows the trend of less participation in the game of the week threads throughout the year. It'd be interesting to know whether there's been a change in activity on the forums in general, I seem to remember Eli stating something like that.
Yep, I know I don't participate as much as I used to. Time for the young team to take over. I also only have three jokes and pretty much use them all up in January so have to wait a month or two before I can use them again. On a side note, Andy, my boy watched you Air Supply video and was even excited to hear your voice (as was I, truth be told). Keep it all up in 2015 everyone.
if it's still open, i would vote Wayward Souls. I have everything on the list except Threes, Leo's Fortune and Airsupply, and all of them are fantastic, but i can say that the hours and tries i put in WS, not to mention the feeling it gave me at first (i even bought the soundtrack) make me vote thus.
Yep. MHFU deserves the title. It could be WS or BH: Legacy too but time I spent on MHFU is almost tenfold of the time i spent on those two combined. Glad to see MHFU won sorry for those two.
Don't forget to nominate and vote in the routine "Game of the Week" polls of 2015 starting today - http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=252496
Im kinda surprised and somewhat sad at the same time seeing that there isnt much discussion going on after the GotY have been determined. Didnt Warhammer Quest get more discussion?
It might have something to do with both top picks this year being ports and available on many platforms in different forms. Warhammer Quest was only available on iOS for a long time then just released on Steam recently. Monster Hunter is really good but it didn't suck me in like it did the first time I played it a decade ago on PS2. I was more about online gaming at that point, playing games like Phantasy Star Online and Monster Hunter every night with the same group of people. Phantasy Star Online would be a great fit for mobile gaming. Sega needs to wake up and make this happen. I would happily pay ANY asking price for PSO 1&2 plus. Anyway, sorry for the ramble.
Regarding PSO, there's already a Phantasy Star port on the PSP which i think could easily be ported to iOS as well. Would be fantastic if that happened.
He was talking about last years GotY thread and post voting discussion being more active talking about Warhammer Quest.
Yeah, I started on the Dreamcast and ended up getting the GameCube versions as they bundled PSO 1&2 together. Those were the golden days of gaming for me as well. I would really like to PSO on iOS, the fact that the game had cohesive offline and online modes is what kept me playing for years.
